“I’ll set the table for you” Sarah said walking out of the kitchen and into the dining room placing the cutlery down Amelia come out with the food and placed it in the center of the table she looked at the meal she had prepared and smiled at herself she had prepared a Cupiditya specialty she figured since the Army general hasn’t been able to go back to Cupiditya she could make him their signature dish miso soup with tender grilled fish, crisp veggies and rice she hoped that the general would be satisfied with her cooking she was grateful that he took her out of the horrible home and wanted to show her gratitude. Amelia was about to return to the kitchen when she walked into a wall she swore that there wasn’t a wall there when she was placing the dishes closing her eyes she braced for impact but it never came she didn’t fall there was a faint smell of mint and a woodsy after shave opening her eyes to find her herself looking into a pair of bright green eyes they were so mesmerizing she couldn’t look away.
Amelia’s POV
My eyes widen in horror as I stare at the germ like eyes glaring at me, they did not belong to the former general of the king’s army. No, those germ-like eyes belong to the former great general of the King’s army no, but they did belong the crown prince of cupiditya sole heir to the cupiditian empire. Dropping on my knees I flinch at the sharp pain.
“Your Highness” I acknowledge the prince as I place my head on my knuckles.
“Please forgive me for my insolence your highness” there was hardness behind his eyes as he stared at me.
“Sarah!” he roared in a cold voice.
“Young master?” Sara asked as she walked into the dining room.
“Why is she preparing my food” he asked putting emphasis on the words my food, his voice is deadly quiet as he addressed Sarah. Feeling guilty for coursing trouble I raise my head slightly.
“Your highness...” the words die in my throat as I am silenced by his deadly glare.
“You speak on when spoken to, you eat only when told to you stand only when told to are we clear” his voice filled with hate and anger.
“Your highness! “Sara said reprimanding him and I fear for her life nobody dared talk to the prince like that.
“This child woke up early to make you breakfast the least you could do is thank her and eat your food no belittle her like she is some kind of pest” it was like a mother reprimanding her child turning to me she held out her hand.
“Come on get up child and go to your room” her voice was gentle and kind, glaring at the crown prince.
“Your behavior is uncalled for” was the last thing I head as I went up the stairs.

Sarah walked into my room with a disappointed look on her face. “I’m sorry”
She said apologetically I shake my head and smile at her.
“It wasn’t your fault you didn’t know he’d react to my presence” I said petting her hand. I stand up as I get ready to start my chores for the day. I smiled as I walked out of my room with her by my side she frowned and looked at me as if I grew a second head.
“You haven’t had breakfast yet” she said walking into the kitchen I shook my head as I gathered the plates in the dining room. I was used to starting my day without breakfast my family used to work me to the bone early in the morning.
“I’m not hungry” I said giving her a warm smile. I was about to wash the dishes when the crown prince walked pass the kitchen with a scolding look in his face and I felt my heart sink.
