I walked down the stairs, stopping at the bottom to make sure she was inside safe. Thor was ramming my head, causing me a huge mirgrane. C'mon, what's wrong with you?! we waited for mate, then you just let her go?! mate needs to be with us. Go up there and stop being a little pup! Thor I groaned, rubbing my temples she's not used to us. She's human. She doesn't need your impulsive ass.

I can't force her to my home. It will scare her away. Do you want that? he growled, thought so. Stop being a horn dog, and let's see what tomorrow brings. Soon after our typical bickering, i head down to the bar. Right as my foot landed, Mrs Mary came barreling around the corner. "Alpha niko, is it true?! took a deep breath and said yes ma'am it's true. Why is she staying here then?she needs to be with you. Well, Mrs Mary, she may feel something, but she may not realize what just happened. I left her my number for her to call me tomorrow to let me know what she decides."

I shifted back to my human form and walked up the stairs. The next thing I knew, I fell down to my knee. What in the hell? damn thing swallowed my leg faster than a pig with slop.

Crap! I left my truck and supplies at home. Good going genus now mate has no stairs. Thor, you're not helping. Well, I'm not the one who walked up rotted stairs, thinking it will support your heavy ass. Ugh, well, this is just great. I need to find something to temporarily fix this. Looking over, I see a plank, I gently nudged it between the hole and the stairs, hoping it will hold till tomorrow. Once satisfied, I shifted back to my smart ass wolf and headed back to my place. 15 min of running, we arrived. It's a nice little cottage with a wrap around deck. wide open floor plan with a fireplace, it only has 3 bedrooms, as I had given up hope on finding my mate.

At 25, that was rather late for an alpha. Most find there's by 18. Opening the fridge and taking out a water bottle. I chugged it down in two swigs, headed upstairs, and went straight towards the shower. Looking at my reflection, I finally see hope and light in my eyes. Smiling, I got undressed and washed all the dirt and grime from shifting, did my nightly routine, and headed to bed. Lying there looking up at the ceiling, I smiled and thanked the moon godess for my blessing. The next thing I knew, darkness took me.

Faith woke up with the sun shining in her face. I laid there trying to find the energy to get out of bed and do my morning routine. The blasted rays were bliding me. Ugh, I hate mornings. After much internal debate, a full bladder made my decision. I decided to put a hat on an old t shirt and jeans. If I was gonna get dirty, no sense trying to look decent. I really hope Mrs Mary has coffee, or my next task will be tracking down some caffeine before I even think about doing anything productive. After getting dressed, I packed up my things and headed downstairs .

As soon as I opened the door eggs and sausage, coffee hit my nose. Oh, thank God! I sprinted towards the bar and saw tiny sitting there with a beautiful brunette sitting at the table she had the same wolf tattoo he did, except on her bicep she had the sable wolf. Tiny walked over and gave her a kiss on the cheek, and handed her plate. Once she noticed me, she stiffened, looked at me, then looked at tiny.

He looked over and saw me. "Hey, faith! how are ya darlin, this is my wife Venus, Venus, this is Faith. She just moved here." she relaxed, then stood up and gave me a huge hug. "Hey, suga, nice to meet ya! I heard about you! sorry for my reaction. I was just caught off guard. Please sit and eat with us. thank you, you are very generous." Tiny handed me my plate. This is amazing! oh my goodness. You're a wonderful cook. "Isn't he?" Venus asks. Oh yes, definitely, if I had someone to cook like this for me, I'd be the happiest person alive.

Dutly noted was heard from my left side. I looked up and saw Niko. I looked down, blushing again. "You know I can cook some really good crawfish boil and crabs he said. Oh, really? well, maybe i may take you up on the offer. Fine by me love, just say when and it's yours." Oh, come on, faith, don't be shy he's just trying to make you comfortable," my inner voice said. He's so cute when he's awkward. Such a strong man just look at him. Those tanned arms. Thick biceps, and that muscel shirt is hugging all the right areas, and those jeans look like his hips are holding on best they can. Those full lips and the way that hat is backward. Those hands bet ya they can do some amazing things. ugh, stop it, you stupid perv. Acting worse than a sorority girl on spring break with those thoughts.

Snapping outta my thoughts, I look up and see the self-assured smile on niko face. "You alright there, darlin? yea, sure, so um, do you want to go look at the place and see what we need to get and go from there? sure, he says, lead the way. Hold your britches cow boy, I need to finish this coffee, and then we can go." His deep chuckle sent goodbumps all over my body. Once I finished my plate, I thanked Tiny and Venus, then left.
