BIT MORE THEN I CAN CHEW

The next thing i knew was the flight attendance voice breaking out over the speaker, saying that they were landing, and it was time to unboard. I rubbed the sleepiness from my eyes and made sure no droll fell from my mouth as i sat up. I reached up and fixed the birds next. I called a bun. Once i got off the plane, i made the way to the restroom to do my business and freshen up. Geez, i look like the crypt keeper from the tales of the crypt. Fixing that mess, i left the bathroom and walked through the airport to retrieve my duffle. I got a breeze of some really good spicy food. my stomach rumbled, reminding me i hadn't eaten since yesterday morning. By this time, it was late afternoon. I followed, the heaven sent smell and landed me in front of a Cajun restaurant. Wasn't quite sure what to order. So i picked coconut shrimp with a side of what they called craw dad's. They looked like tiny crabs. Figured they must be good. Being from the city, I've never had true southern food before. With a little prayer, it wouldn't mess me up. I got my food with a drink and sat down and ate. As I was eating, I decided to check my phone to see if macie texted me. Once I opened my phone, I saw fifteen missed calls and texts from Trent, no doubt threatening, and telling her how big of a mistake she made. I chuckled and thought he was only mad because he got caught. finally,i saw the text she was looking for was macie. MACIE: OMG!! girl, I'm so happy for you! good luck! let me know if you meet some of them southern boys! I heard they are true men, built like Greek gods! I'm sad you left, but I understand you needed this. don't worry, I'll hold the fort down for you! make sure they have coffee, so you don't scare anyone away with your crankyness in the morning! love you chat soon. ps. let me know when u get there and settled. Faith sighed. she's definitely gonna miss her. With Trent being the way he was, her friends were slim. Her only friend was Macie. I put my phone back in my pocket and decided that after i ate, i was gonna get out of these leggings and put shorts on. This humidity was a whole different level than New york. I got up, threw my food away, and made my way back to the restrooms. Once i changed, i went to the luggage pick up. Then, I found the nearest starbies. Got my bags, went up to the help center desk, and asked, "Where my car was?" Once the nice lady pointed her to the direction of her hummer, I got the keys and started it up. I got my phone back out and plugged my new address in the GPS. Here we go, i thought. After an hour and a half, i came upon a small town named Shadow. Thinking that was a different name for a little town. As i kept driving, i saw little stores and boutiques and hardware stores. I left out a little chuckle and thought we would be best friends here soon. She kept driving to her destination. The once flat dirt roads became covered in thick pines and a rough forest. I slowed down and was taking in all the amazing scenery. It's been forever since I saw a forest. For the first time since ever i felt home. The lovely GPS lady decided to ruin my moment to tell me the destination was coming up in 200 feet and to make a right. I looked up and was squinting around to look for my new home. realizing the side road that indicated that was her mark. As faith made the turn down the lane, the house came into view. It was definitely a fix upper. You can tell it once held a lot of beauty. With its full wrap around porch, faded black shutters, and the porch swing sitting up front. All the windows were cracked, from people throwing what appeared rocks at them. Roof that looked stable, and stairs needed to be fixed. The huge 3 story house was faded away from the years without paint. The once grey exterior was nothing but wood. I thought it's OK. You just needed some love and just the right person to heal you. Sighing again then thought we both did, but both of us needed time. Once I decided I saw enough from a distance, i grabbed my duffel and walked toward my new home. As I expected the stairs were rotten away. She looked under the pot, Mary had suggested and grabbed the key, and opened the door. Once opened, i coughed and swat away the dust, which assaulted my nose. After the little coughing fit , I lost my breath again. what i saw was a beautiful open floor plan, wrap around stair case. Faith allowed her feet to carry her to the kitchen. There, she saw a huge island wrap around counters and a huge farm sink. After leaving the downstairs, she decided she wanted to pick her room. Upstairs had 7 different bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. I chose the room with a suite that had a bathroom connected. inside was a claw foot tub that could easily fit 5 people, a stand-up shower, with broken tile, and the floor cracked. I couldn't help but huffed and decided to try the tub, and the faucet broke off. Thankfully, with that, she discovered she had no water. Which also turned out to be a bummer. After the inspection, faith decided it was best to go into town and get a hotel. Between needing a shower, food, and good rest, it was the best option. she got off the edge of the tub to look around one more time and saw the mirror was caked in old dirt and dust. Letting out a frustrated growl, she walked out the bathroom to look at the bedroom. Of course, the bed had enough dust to make a snowman on the sheets. This sucks I can't shower or sleep. I definitely need to find something to eat. As I closed the door, it fell off it hinges. Seriously?!!! ughhh ohhh my God, this freaking house! yep, I'm done. I'm done! mama needs a drink STAT. Stomping down the stairs, I flung the door open and got in my car. Looking up for directions to the closet bar, I turned my car on and left.
