We just found out we had a pup coming along the way. We were both so excited the whole pack celebrated we had festival set up. Much like a lot of lately, we let go of guards. Had a couple for check-ins, but nothing to like it used to be. As everyone knows. We tend to keep to ourselves. Us lycans we're a proud race, and return bit us in the ass. We had no allies and never thought to try to worry about making friends. After all, we are the apex predators. We don't die as quickly or easy as y'all do. For regular lycans, you need to stab us in the heart with sliver blades and then burn our bodies. Alpha's, on the other hand, you need to physically rip our spines from our backs. Which also is why we are here. anyways that night, I kept feeling odd. I told artameis something was off. I kept having chills run down my neck as if I were now the prey.

We had a smaller house separate from the pack. As you see, we like to keep our space separate. To decompress, so to say. Inside our house, we had a trap door that led to a tunnel all the way out the pack lands. For emergencies or to get children and women to escape if needed. The night was still and calm. Artameis was talking to the guys by the fire, laughing and drinking. Pups were running around playing Tag. Everyone was enjoying the news of the new heir coming.

Star sat on the logs by her friends coming up with cute ideas for what the new pup would be like and how to decorate the room. I hope he/she has some resemblance of me she laughed. It will suck to carry this pup to only have a carbon copy of artameis. I have no idea what names we want yet. This was such a blessing after trying for so long. Now I'm just excited to even know I have a pup . speaking of ladies, I think I'm going to head in for the night. I'm getting really tired. Thanks again for everything!

artameis and star both run to the window and look out. They see their once friends laughing and joking, now hanging by stakes with holes in their chests body on fire. Humans danced around, throwing stuff at them and on them to make them go up higher in smoke. Others are in lines on their knees, tears streaming down the faces, looking up, begging to stop this. Pups are in front, being ripped apart, limb by limb with the blood splatters on their faces. While their parents try to shift but seeing their pups being killed in too much for their lycans to come forward. The males almost shift but are hit with sliver chains to stop.

The humans sit there laughing with glee as they rip apart their loved ones. Star turns away puking artameis shifts, while his beta and Gemma stop him and explain that he needs to rebulid. He needs to take this chance and run. They understand the alpha in him, needs to protect and rip apart, but he also needs to keep himself, mate, pup alive. Next, they hear the human shout come on, boys! We need to find their leader! boss really wants him! they hear a chours of hell, yes, let's go! Blaze grabs his mate and alpha. WE NEED TO RUN NOW!

No sooner they hit the tunnels and make their escape the front door busts open. come out, come out wherever you are! we will find you, and your little b***h too! bet ya she will be a good lay.

Artameis dug his claws into his stomach to stop zues from coming forward. Nike grabs his arm, and they pull him forward. Blaze had the women pushing them to go faster as they saw the light that led to the opposite side a few miles north from where they were .Once safe, they found a cave to sleep in there for the night. After 2 weeks on the run and hunting in the woods. They agreed to try to find help. Eventually, I found more shifters. I found lions, panthers, bears, vampires, and witches. Of course, at first, it was eventual times. None of them wanted to side with lycans. After they shared their story, the rest found out they had the same if not worse.

The witches were rated and murderd.After they were forced to make potions, the humans needed to go undetected. The bears were skinned alive and made into rugs. All but a few of their cubs were killed. lions were forcefully declawed so they could wear their talons as necklaces. A few of their cubs died the same way. Their heads were used as hats. The panthers were hung by snares and dragged. Most escaped since they slept in the trees. Vampires were staked as they slept. Those who were hunting had their teeth removed so they could starve to death.

Hearing their stories that night. We vowed to work together and to make the human hunter pay. Any other time, it will the most craziest thing to even imagine, but this is war. We all have a balance. They need to remember why it's there. Star and I thought it would be best to go look ahead for a safe heaven. A large crowd will definitely tip off unwanted guests. I told my beta and Gemma that I would mind link them when we were sure it's safe, till then, they needed to remain safe .

PRESENT DAY

So now that's out of the way, Skylar and I got the permits we needed for the bulid, and we now own all of shadow. Once the rest get here they can pick land, and our houses they would like to fit their needs.

As far as how we ran into them, we were halfway there when they flagged us down. Told them they are welcomed here, and promised to tell is the story they just now shared.
