Skylar and I headed into town. We needed to see about these permits and stop at the county office to purchase more land. We really needed this to work. This will not only give us more resources but a better future for my pack. Before, I was fine playing handyman drinking at the bar and just getting by. Never really had a reason to live or push to be better. Now, as Skylar put it, we need to be a pack. We need a better security system. We need to figure out how these random effects and drama have to do with the bigger pitcure. We never had problems with other supernatural. Occasional rouge here and there. Some bar fights nothing to the extent we're having. I have a feeling we have been too complacent for too long.

"So Niko," Skylar knocks me outta my thoughts. "What do you make of this hyde and shape shifter attacking faith?" Just hearing that causes Thor to growl. He throws his hands up as a surrender." I meant nothing by it, alpha. "I just have a feeling we have a Strom coming, and it's gonna be big. We are missing something." I nod my head, "I have the same feeling, man. We never had this problem before. Now they left with a threat? something isn't right. I can sense it." No sooner that sentence left my mouth. I see two figures standing along the forest line waving us down frantically. I slow down my truck and roll the window down.

My hair on my neck stands up, and Thor instantly starts thrashing. LYCANS, he screams. What in the hell are they doing here? let me out I'll kick their mangy asses, no good for nothing 2 legged dickheads. Big bad of half shifting flea bags. Thor, you do realize there are two, right? we can barely handle one, and there are two, and how are you gonna handle that tough guy? he lays back down and huffed some more, doing his non-sense s**t talking. I stopped a few yards ahead of them. Skylar put his hand on my forearm. "Alpha, do you realize what they are? yes, Gemma. I do. I just got done arguing with Thor about it. Let's see what they need? it's odd for them to be this far south, let alone waving like this. Just becareful alpha it maybe a trap. I'll keep watch and make sure no more step out. Also gotta remember faith is one too. She'll be pissed if she found out.."

"I appreciate it, man." Taking a deep breath, I open the door and introduce myself. I'm alpha Niko nightstar. Walking up, I keep my right hand out for a shake and the left by my side. I'm alpha artameis shade. This is my mate star shade. He says, walking up to meet my hand. We both give a firm grip shake. "Excuse my tone, but what are yall doing up in these woods? I haven't come across a lycan in my 25 years of being here. The only one I did was my mate. Wait you are mated to a lycan? yes but please answer. We were ambushed and pushed out by a group of humans. They killed my whole pack. Only six of us remain. My mate star is with a pup. What could little human do to scare yall off? they're not just normal humans alpha Niko they are hunters. They slautered all of us when we were sleeping. had scent making sprays. I guess we got complacent on being top of the food chain. We let our guards down, both metaphorical and litteraly. We sensed y'all before we saw you. Hense the wave down. If you were humans, we would have stayed hidden. "

I look into his eyes and see the truth in them . Looking at his figure, he's 6'8 220lbs slim bulit. With a fohawk. Light grey eyes, sandy brown hair. His face and body are covered in dirt dictating a long trip. His clothes are torn and dirty. Shoes are tears at the front. Looking over at his mate, I see that she as well is covered on the same look. Twigs sticking out her brown hair. She has moss green eyes. She stands about 5'10 and just barely shows her little pup. Her shoes are ripped at the sides, and her nails are broken and caked with dirt. Blue jeans are fully ripped at the knees. Once white shirt is brown as the dirt we stand on. Hearing a low growl, "I look over. I wasn't checking out your mate, I'm happily mated as well. I was just wondering if your appearances match your story. "

Now I see the long journey you both had. This is my Gemma skylar. He walks up and shakes their hands as well. "We were headed to get permits and buy new lands. We are expanding ourselves. We too been having some random things happening. You said there were six of you? where are they? they are a day behind. We went first to make sure things were safe. We also ran into other shifters along the way. They will be with them. What kind of other shifters? Artemis shakes his head and lets out a chuckle. The ones you'll probably think I'm lying if I told you. I swear on moon goodness herself, it's true. Well, what is it? panthers, lions, bears, witches, vampires. We all want the samething. Which is freedom, and to feel safe again. So we figured the only way to do that is together" .I just stood there dumbfounded. "Are you serious? yea, man, the bears and the panthers had it the worst. That's not my story to tell, though."

Well, artameis, my pack is open to you. If the danger is as big and hard as you say, then you are right. The best way to do it is together. We each have our own weaknesses and strengths. "You must forgive my mate." Artameis said she isn't quite talkative after the whole situation. We seen some horror as well. Right now, the side of the road isn't a place to tell. I agree. y'all are welcome to hop on it. If you don't mind a few stops may take awhile. I feel it will be best to stay inside. "When we get back to the house, we planned on having a barbecue. That sounds really good, niko. I appreciate your kindness. Yea we may usually never get along, but we need to to keep our races alive. Plus I will be in a dog house if my mate found out I was rude to her kind as well.

After they climbed in star sat her head on his shoulders and drifted off to sleep. Skylar mind linked me. Alpha, can you really trust them? yea buddy, they look worn for tare. They are a proud wolf. An alpha alone asking for help says alot. You think Thor is bad times him by 100 and that's how they are. He's a good man. Setting his pride aside to help his mate and pup. Let's get this arranged done so we can head back. You know Mase is gonna be pissed right? yea well he's gonna understand when this is all out and opened. Artameis has a point. If we want our future my pups, and his to have one we need to set our differences aside to do this. Yes, and it won't be rainbows but it needs to happen. I got your back alpha I trust your decision. 45 minutes later we park in front of the courthouse. with a duffel bag in hand. everything I have is in the Tailion bag. I can't afford the investment not to work out. Hopefully, with the other shifters coming, it will help branch out and build things quicker, too. Snapping out of my thoughts, we walk in the door. an older human with the name tag Mary is working. she looks up through her glasses and asks. hey suga what can I do you for? hi I'm Mr nightstar. I called ahead about the rest of the city limit for sale and wanted to buy everything. Of course, Mr. nightstar. you requested permits for the building? yes ma'am . Great since they were already approved and notarized. All I need ya to do is sign.

Taking a deep breath, I try to squeeze my big ass down in the chair. One last prayer to the moon goodess this all works out.I sign the dotted line and head back out with an empty bag and stomach full of nerves. Walking up to Skylar I pat him on the shoulder and tell him to head out.
