I moaned and moved over on the bed, reaching out to draw the cover towards me as I anticipated being welcomed by a warm body. Instead, I was confronted by a chilly, empty sheet. I got up groggily and wiped my eyes. What did she do there? She was close by because, when I inhaled deeply, her perfume was strong. As our smells mingled, my wolf purred, declaring that this was our lair and our home.
