Chapter 8: New Year, New Problems
The Winter Quarter Horse Circuit’s New Year’s Eve party was held in the ballroom of a swanky hotel in Tampa. If he didn’t know better, from what most of the men were wearing, Brad wouldn’t have guessed it was supposed to be a formal event. The women were all dressed to the nines but the men wore their jeans—albeit clean ones—boots, western show shirts and cowboy hats. Brad, his dads, Hank, and Ted followed the tradition. Brad was pleased that Hank had elected to wear his freshly dry-cleaned lucky show shirt.
