CHAPTER 3

You know when you're drunk and you start seeing s**t? And you start thinking of all the crazy chap it could be? Like omg what if it's a f*****g unicorn? And you're like nah I'm just drunk!

      Well while I'm watching the world go by in Max's stupid car, he had said 10 minutes ago that we weren't far from the community, yay... 

I swear I could see shadows whipping in between all the trees following us! I've been narrowing my eyes to see more clearly but my head is still thumping so I can't see nothing. 

"5 minutes and we'll be there guys" Max says, I see in the mirror above him that his eyes too are noticing something going on with the trees. Before i can say anything, I swear his eyes glazed over white like he's being possessed! 

What in the ass......

I go to say something but Sofia turns to face me and smiles.

"OK, let's have a quick chat about this community we are going to. First of all, these people think of each other as family, they are all very close with one another so be mindful of that ok, they can get a little defensive of each other".

"Oh like a cult? Does the leader think oh himself as a god? When you say everyone is like family, do you mean like everyone has s*x with each other? It's cool Sof, I've read about cult rules". I smirk at Sof and see Max's face turn into a grimace from what I'd said. 

"Ros, for the last time. Its not a cult ok. It's just a different way of society thats all, you just need to be open minded." Different way of society she says? I hadn't thought of the possibility that she might be brainwashed. s**t.

Sofia ignores my confused face and starts talking again.

"Look, we all watch each others backs there. That's why I can keep a close eye on you, there's a fitness centre there, library, its like a little town within. You will love it i can tell! We can spend time together and who knows maybe you will actually make some friends!" Her eyes gleamed as she day dreamed about us being bffs. 

I suppose this could be a good way of bonding with Sofia, if I convince her I'm fine then she will leave me alone for a while and I can think of my next move while I'm here. 

"Before i forget, its important that you don't draw attention to yourself while you're here. They don't like outsiders, its gonna take time to get to know them all. Oh and! We had to ask the Alp- the president of the community to allow you entry and to stay here, he never lets anyone in ok? It took a lot of convincing him for him to agree, so best behaviour. OK?" She had a little glint of hope in her eyes, just like mom would when she was excited for something. 

I smiled at her and nodded, i would try for her, I can see it means alot to her for me to be here so I'll do it.

"Do they allow drinking booze here? In this 'community' of yours Maxi?" Sofia rolled her eyes when i gestured my fingers as I said the word community. 

"They do Rosalie yes, but I would appreciate it if you didn't get wasted and embarrass us here. Please bear in mind that you represent your aunt and I, reputation means something here. The same goes for you dressing inappropriately OK?" He didn't even look at me in his mirror when he spoke. 

Like a goddamn robot honestly! What does Sofia see in him! 

I don’t get that wasted. Only sometimes when I'm feeling a little crazy and want to blow off steam. Such an ass.

"OK sorry dad jesus! I don't dress like anything thank you very much!... and when have you guys even seen me enough to dress like anything?" I could see Max's grip on the steering wheel tighten. Impatient old man!

Before i could think of anything else, I noticed the car was slowing nearing massive steel gates. It was so odd that there we only those gates on the road but no fences or anything attached in the forest. 

We are literally in the middle of nowhere, nothing but trees as far as the eye can see. 

I scan the forest and the gates for anyone at the post but there's nobody there. 

"Isn't there supposed to be a guard or some-" I get cut off when I see the gates start opening.

I search around it but there's nobody there. What the hell? 

I look up thinking there's cameras that must have buzzed us in but I can't see any.

The car speeds back up passing through the gates, i look out the back window to see if I missed some one but there was no one. I was about to turn around when I catch shadows weaving through the trees following our car.

My breathe catches in my throat, "guys I'm sure there’s like bears or something in the forest? I think they're following the car!" My eyes dart between Max and Sofia to try and gauge their panic but all I see is a smirk on Max's lips as he gives a quick glance to Sofia.

She looks at me and puts her hand on my shoulder, "Don't worry about that sweetheart, wolves are known to roam around these forests. That's why there's a curfew and that. Nothing to worry about. As long as you leave them alone, they leave you alone. That's what I've learned." She turns to face front, leaving me feeling confused as ever. 

So first we are going live in a cult, second its in the middle of nowhere and now third , there's legit wolves roaming around...

I think my brain just metaphorically jumped out of my head to escape.

Hmm, I wonder if there's any cute guys here? 

I don’t think I've had s*x in about a month, a month? Wow, thats a long time.

Jack was kind of boring, fun to start off but then my want for him wore off. We slept next to each other and that was about it. 

Travelling through the town, i notice there's alot of shops here, loads of people strolling about. It's like an actual town, buried away in the forest. How weird.

"So where am I staying? Is there a hotel or something?" I'm really hoping a hotel, some time to sleep this hangover off. Probably drink some more and then hit a bar to catch some ass.

"You'll be staying in the communities main house, individual houses are for families so we stay with the rest of the couples and single members. Kind of like one big family under one roof, oh look here it is" she beamed a smile at me and pointed ahead.

Am i supposed to smile back? Even more of a cult vibe with them all shacking up under one roof, should i ask why? Do I really want to know?

I looked at where she pointed, in the middle of this town is a massive mansion, white on the outside with massive marble looking pillars that surround it. It looks like something from Greece. 

I mean maybe it's not a cult, maybe this is all like drug related? Yes its possible. 

We come to halt outside the house, i get straight out and just stare at it. There are luscious trees and bushes that surround it, beautiful beds of flowers stand out against the green. 

I see two stupidly good looking guys stood on the doorstep looking at me, i quickly look in the car window at my reflection to make sure I look decent.

Oh s**t, what the f**k.

Looking back at me I can see mascara smeared all across my face, my hair is all greasy up in a weird bun and I look like death. 

Before I can even begin to look presentable, Sofia starts dragging me towards the cute guys. 

"s**t Sofia wait" i try pulling my arm back but she ignores me and keeps going. 

I hadn't even realised we were already at the front door when i see someone put his hand out to greet me, i turn to look at them both but they quickly start smirking taking in my appearance.

I glare daggers at Sofia for not letting me sort myself out beforehand. She widens her eyes at me motions me to talk to these guys, they both stand there trying not to laugh.

Fuck me, ground swallow me up please.
