CHAPTER 7

ROSALIE POV

"Who's that?" I ask, never leaving his gaze.

I see Cameron looking in the same direction as myself.

"Oh that's that the A-p-president of the community, Jasper." I ignore her stuttering feeling all my thoughts focus on this man.

"Jasper" I whisper.

I like that name. Mmmm.

How can a name make me feel so weird?

As if he heard me utter his name, a smile crept on his lips, I felt myself flutter my lashes at him seductively.

I feel somebody tug on my arm trying to get attention but it feels like my whole body and soul belongs to this god on stage, his gaze holding me in place at his mercy.

"Rosalie, goddamit stop ignoring me!" 

I snap out of it and feel myself being spun around to face Sofia and Max.

"f**k! What Sof?" I snap at her.

She looks me up and down and smiles weakly. 

"You look gorgeous honey, thank you for taking this seriously. Let us start introducing you to people". I see Max's eyes glazed over slightly behind her, his eyes go back to normal and he stares to something behind me before nodding his head at me.

"You look lovely Rosalie" He leans forward slightly and says "Let's keep the drinking to a minimum OK?" 

I roll my eyes and glare at him, "I'm not a f*****g child Max, you might be able to tell my aunt what to do but don't try that s**t with me... lead the way Sof" I barge past Max and wait for Sofia to catch up with me.

Such a controlling asshole, I'll never know why Sofia is with him. 

Maybe he's good in bed? That's the only possible reason.

I smirk at my thought and feel Sofia beside me, "Please cut it out, Max is only looking out for you. Why'd you always have to make things so hard for him?"

"Just start showing me around Sof, sooner this is over the sooner I can find some hot ass for the night" Sofia huffs at me and motions her head for me to follow her.

Put on your nice face Ros, Sofia won't complain later then.

Sofia introduces me to various couples and families of the community, I notice she is deliberately steering me from all the single guys and slutty girls. Smart move Sof.

An older couple continue talking to me about possible jobs for me in the community which I'm not really paying attention to. Max appears beside Sofia and whispers something in her ear, she nods at him and then turns towards me looking anxious all of a sudden. 

"Right in a couple of minutes the president of the community is going to come over to introduce himself to you, please please please be nice and polite to him Ros. I'm just going to quickly grab us some drinks, I'll be back in a few, behave yourself." I glare at her and try to keep my patience. 

Sofia and Max walk away with the couple we were talking to too, I stand there shuffling my feet for a few seconds waiting. 

I notice a guy staring at me near a buffet table, short blonde hair ruffled to look sexy messy, blue eyes raking over my body, tall and muscular looking delicious in jeans and a blue casual buttoned shirt. 

"Jackpooooooott" I whisper under my breath and start strolling over to him making sure to sway my hips.

The way his eyes watch me reminds me of Jack, this guy will be an easy catch.

"Hey there handsome, like what you see?" I pick up a carrot stick behind him making sure to brush my arm slightly against his. 

"Aren't you a pretty thing? You must be the new girl, I'm Caleb" He gives me a pretty boy grin.

I extend my hand out to him and smile back, "Rosalie but people call me Ros".

Caleb takes my hand, turns it over and places a soft kiss on the back of my hand maintaining eye contact with him. 

I feel his hand tracing over my lower back, I give my signature move of swiping my tongue across my top lip, before he has a chance to react I hear a loud growl or I think a roar explode behind us. Caleb's face turns to terror as steps back from me raising his hands in surrender.

"I-I didn't kn-know Alpha, pl-please.." He keeps backing away keeping his eyes trained on something behind me. 

"What the f**k?" I say to him.

Turning around I see everybody is staring at me and something behind me, Sofia's mouth is hanging open and I can't gauge anything else from her. 

What is going on?

I focus on what they are all looking at, I see the beautiful man Jasper stood a few feet away from me, chest heaving, fists clenched and his eyes are tightly shut. I scan the crowd wondering what just happened?

"Um is everything OK? What am i missing?" I say loud enough for them to hear me, I start walking towards Jasper wondering if he had hurt himself or something. I stop when he opens his eyes, luscious green looking back at me. 

"Jasper right? Are you good man? Did that guy I was talking to sleep with your wife or something?" I chuckle at the last question trying to make light of the situation but this seems to anger him again.

God he's sexy when he's mad, I swear I'd let him do me right here.

"You are to stay away from him, Miss Parker do you understand me?" His voice was stern and full of authority. 

I c**k my head to the side, instantly snapping me out of my lustful thoughts.

Motherfucking men! 

"I'm sorry hmm? Did you just tell me what to do?" I snap back at him.

Sofia rushes over and tries dragging me away from Jasper. 

"Ros please don't start something Max will have to finish! Remember he's the president!" she says to me in a hushed tone. 

This angers me more, what is she so afraid of? This f*****g guy?

"Oh I'll f*****g finish it Sofia... Telling me what to f*****g do..." I can feel my anger coursing through my chest, nostrils flaring and fists clenched.

I've never had a good grasp on my anger, EVER.

Irrational is my middle name during this time.

Trying to control myself is thrown out the window when I hear Jasper laugh at what I said. 

I feel my eye twitch as Sofia shuts her eyes and mutters "s**t" under her breath.

I flung myself in his direction already knowing I'm going to punch him square in that strong stupid jaw of his.

"Something funny fucker? How about I break your f*****g jaw and then see how funny s**t is!" 

He stares at me for a second with a smirk on his lips, he's enjoying this!

I hear low growls coming from all around me, I scan the crowd and see some people's eyes darken. 

"What the fu-" I back away from all of them until I feel the buffet table hit my ass. 

What are they? Monsters?

A black haired woman wearing barely anything steps out and puts her hand on Jasper's shoulder.

Get your damn hands off him w***e.

Wait why do I care? 

"Watch how you speak to our alpha b***h" She grunts at me afterwards.

I stay calm and collected trying to figure out what's going on until the black haired cow kisses Jasper's cheek. I see him grimace and push her away but I feel anger and jealousy pounding in my chest.

I look over the buffet table and see a couple steak knifes and a large cake knife, that'll do.

I pull my arm back and throw it straight at the b***h, holding my breath as it hits her straight in the stomach. I knew taking that weapons class would pay off!

"HA! Watch who you're goddamn talking to" The black haired woman pulled the knife out dropping it on the ground, I ready another knife but feel my soul leave my body as her eyes turn completely black and I see her nails starting to extend abnormally.

My eyes flit from this freak to Sofia who looks terrified and then to Jasper who seems to be telling the woman to calm down and back. 

I don't know why but I want to go to him, my body wants to walk over to him and let his body consume me.

"What-what are you freaks?" I say then look at Sofia who's trying to get out of Max's grasp.

"I f*****g told you this was a cult Sofia! " Sofia just shakes her head at me, looking at me like I'm the f*****g crazy one!

My heart is telling me to stay but my head is screaming to run, so I listen.

I drop the rest of the knives keeping one in my hand, I back away around the buffet table watching everybody's moves.

Jasper stands up straight looking around, "Miranda get the f**k out of here and the rest of you calm your s**t down". Everybody bows their heads including I'm assuming is Miranda.

They're bowing to him! CULT ALERT! CULT!

I quickly kick my shoes off and run for the forest opening, I've got to get out of here!

I enter the forest opening when I hear Jasper running to calling for me before I hear the sounds of cracking and a loud roar.

SHIT! s**t! s**t! 

They're f*****g monsters!
