“Wait here. I will come back in a minute”, saying that, Perry went inside her room.

“dad!!!. How can you sell me out like this, without asking anything to her??.", I asked our dad in a wronged tone.

“why?? “, our dad Thomson asked so innocently, making me to want to bang my head hard somewhere.

She is asking me to give my opinions, and choose a dress to put on the day of the mating gathering event!!“, I said in an exasperated tone, making our dad to realize the mess he had got me into.

“oh…. Oh…. Sorry, son. But sadly, you are done for…. I can not help you in this“, our dad said, and shrugged his shoulders, making me to want to run away from that place.

But before I could execute my perfect escape plan, Perry came back with two different colored dresses this time, making my eyes to bulge out in shock.

Well if she keeps on going like this, then my eyes might really fall out of my eye socket, and commit suicide for real..

***’is she really crazy, or what??. Like who in their freaking sane mind would want to wear that sort of dress to the mating gathering event!!!!!’, I screamed internally.

She had the most flashy kind of dress in her hand. Like she had two dresses in her hands which were in pastel colors, for the freaking hell sake!!!!.

One was a bright cotton candy colored pink dress, and the other was a bright orange colored one dress.

If she wore that to the annual mating gathering event, then I can spot her easily in the crowd of people.

***’like really!!. Is she seriously going to select between any one of those two dresses????. Where in the freaking hell did that dumb brain of hers went off too???. To the hot springs, or what?..

And most importantly, where does the little bit of fashion sense she had, had vanish off to?? ‘, I thought in bewildered.

“Are you insane, or what??!!. Stop it…. Just stop it…. No….you are not going to choose one out of that two dresses…… it is too bright that I can even feel my eyes are getting hurt, looking at them for a long time”, I told her in an exasperated tone, making the smile on her face to disappear the very next second.

But being involved too much in that helpless emotion, I did not notice the change in her facial expressions.

“I swear, Perry. If you wear either of those two bright colored dresses, what would you call that…., ah…yes…it would be a fashion disaster….You future mate would run off to in the other direction, instead of coming to you, once he see you”, I said all that in a single breath, as I really can not take her craziness anymore.

Sensing that everything around me was too silent to be true, I looked up, only to see that Perry was standing there, with a deep frown on her face, while my dad had the most terrified expression on his face.

Only then, did I realize that I had messed up a big time.

‘Dear sweet moon goddess.. Did I say that all out in loud??. What in the freaking hell. I thought that it was just my mind voice inside my head, but in real, I have blurted out all that in open, that too I have told her off, in front of her face', I thought internally, and gulped nervously.

Our dad had a look clearly saying, ‘ you messed up, son', while Perry was like an active volcano, starting to huff, and puff in frustration.

But the next second, her deep frown disappeared, and a sweet smile, well more like a sly smirk was formed at the corner of her lips.

‘Dear holy moon goddess…. Now what does that devil sister of mine was planning in that nasty little mind of hers??? ‘I wondered in fear.

Because her fake sly smirk was more dangerous, than her angry temper tantrums.

“ is it, dear brother of mine??. Then it was good this way. Since you feel like that, then why don’t you come to the city mall in the town with me for shopping, to buy some dresses according to likes, and other accessories that I would need to complete my look. Daddy, give you credit card that have the unlimited purchase limit, please”, Perry said this while looking at me with a sly smile, and extended her palm in the direction of our dad, to get his precious credit card.

Grumbling lowly to himself, dad took his credit card from his pants pocket, and gave it to his little princess.

Finally getting credit card with the unlimited purchase limit from our dad, Perry had a wide smirk, like that of a cheesy sly cat that comes in the tv cartoons, we watched in our childhood days.

***here goes nothing. My idea of getting rest was thrown out of the open window.

I took a little peek at our dad, and he mouthed to me, ‘ you deserve it…. You are doomed, dear son of mine', making me to regret my life decision of being honest with Perry, that too in her dressing sense.

Now I know, what it would be like hitting your legs with a stone, all by yourself.

As usual, after making the favorite dishes of every one for the breakfast, we were sitting in the dining table, eating while chatting with one another. I too talked in the middle as it was only we girls, who were present in the dinning room.

All the guys in the house were holed up in the alpha office, due to a sudden meeting announced by Alpha Zion, all of a sudden in the morning.

Clint who came first to the dinning table to have his delicious breakfast ( according to him), he shouted suddenly, making everyone present in the room to get startled in the next second..

When Casey asked what was it all about, Clint grumbled saying that he had to attend an emergency meeting, early in the morning.

“that guy (Zion) definitely envies me for eating such a delicious meal, without him. That was why he was hell bent on messing with me, and my love for the foods”, saying that he took a bread toast from the plate, and devoured it, while going away from the dinning table.

When we were in the middle of our eating, the guys came back all at once. And Clint was the first one to reach the dinning table.

“My dear food fairy…. . What did you cook for me today??. My taste buds are already salivating in excitement, just thinking about eating all the delicious foods that you had cooked for me”, Clint said, and then kissed Casey on her cheek..

What I really had come to love was the sweet interactions between the couples in the pack and most importantly my favorite gamma couple’s cute romantic exchanges.

Well, truth to be told, I even happen to envy their public display of affections, in the corner of my heart.

I know that I had lost that pure, and everlasting selfless love that was linked by the mate bond between the werewolves a long time ago. But still….. I am a human being too. I was a little bit greedy, and selfish too, for still yearning, or uselessly thinking that even I would have that sort of pure selfless, and true love, and those happy interactions between the loving couples.

I shook my head, and cleared all those useless thoughts from my mind.

“I cooked everyone’s favorite, for today’s breakfast “, I said to him, while earning a thousand Watts smile from him.

“Wowwww…. . . You really are a fairy to me…. Always giving me what I want before even I ask out those things out. Thank you, Rory…. “, Clint said, and like usual, stacked his plate with every dish he liked.

Then the other guys followed and ate while chatting.

“Hmmm.. I forgot to tell… .. We got the invitation from the Red Cross pack, For the annual mating gathering event. This year, they were going to host the gathering”, Zander said catching the attention of everyone on the topic in hand.

“really… . That is nice”.

I just looked clueless, as to what they were talking about. But being my introvert self, I controlled my curiosity, and silently ate my breakfast, while the others were doing the same, while chatting among themselves.

In the afternoon, after my shift in the play school was over, Zara came, and accompanied me to her favorite 'cups and cakes' confectionery shop inside the pack territory.

When we reached there, Casey too joined us, as Zara had already called her through the mind link.

“hi there, my dear sweeties”, Casey greeted us, xand we all went inside the shop.

The shop looked so fancy with tables, and chairs placed around to sit, and enjoy the treats from the shop.

After getting our desired cakes, and drinks, we sat on a table near the window.

“Did you know the current news??. Our pack got the invitation for the annual mating gathering event, and the gathering event will be held after two weeks from now”, a dark black haired girl, who was sitting in the next table to us told to her friend, the blonde haired girl.

“really!!! . That is awesome…which pack is going to host this time? ”, the blonde haired girl asked the other girl.

“It is in the Red Cross pack. I am going to go to shopping to get the most suitable dress for me, and accessories that will be matching to my outfit “, the black haired girl said, and both of them talked on, and on, about what to wear, how to wear, and etc, without a break in between.

“these girls….. . The annual gathering event have really made them so excited that they are going crazy about what to do”, Casey commented randomly, and shook her head helplessly.

“what is this gathering is all about? “, I asked Casey curiously, making her to choke on her drink.

After controlling her series of coughs, both Zara, and Casey looked at me like I had grown a few extra pair of heads.

“are you for real, Rory? “, Casey asked in shock, while Zara had a expression on her face saying, “like, really??? “.

“what?? “, I asked unable to control myself as they both were looking at me without saying anything.

“dear sweet moon goddess. Okay, now listen. The annual mating gathering is an event that was held by different pack each time, where all unmated werewolves from all the packs can attend, so that they can find their destined mates.

It helps those werewolves, who have their future mates in another pack, other than theirs, to find them easily. And each year, one pack would take the responsibility to host this gathering “, Casey said.

‘So that was what this is all about huh', I thought internally, and just nodded my head.
