Soon the time came for the celebration to reach its peak and the important stage of the celebration, which everyone was eagerly waiting for, from the starting of the party, was about to happen.

The Alpha of the Violet Moon pack, William Bentick, went up to the big make shift stage made in the center of the back yard garden and took the microphone and began to address the crowd of people.

“A very warm Greetings to the pack members of the Violet Moon pack. Welcome to the engagement party of my precious daughter, Andrea Bentick.

As all of you had already knew, my dear daughter, Andrea had found her mate finally and it’s none other than our Gamma’s first born son, the future Gamma of the Violet Moon pack, Chance Gary.

Since it was like this and both of them belongs to the same pack, which calls for a double celebration as both of our pack's important persons have found the other part of their soul, making a happy union.

So we decided to do a little party to celebrate their union as a couple today, as our dear Chance had already proposed marriage to Andrea, yesterday on her birthday, making it even more eventful day for her and for me too.

So let’s begin the ring changing ceremony. And thank you, all of you, for becoming a part of my little daughter’s life changing event and making her and also me very happy.

Let’s begin the ceremony now”, Alpha William Bentick said and motioned for the spotlight couple to come on to the stage.

Aurora stood at the back of the crowd, hiding away from the eyes of the other members of the pack, in the shades of the big tree.

When the Alpha William Bentick referred Andrea as his only precious daughter, as usual Aurora felt the familiar stinging in the back of her eyes.

But she controlled it with all her will power, as she didn’t want to start the happy day of her life, her 18th birthday with tears in her eyes.

She wanted to ignore it and that’s what she did. She wanted her special day to be special and she swore that on her 18th birthday, she would never allow others to influence her good mood.

It’s not fair for her, she thought and sniffed heavily to stop the reddening of her eyes.

But what she does not know is that, her 18th birthday was going to be eventful like she had wished for, but whether it was going to be a happy one or a sad one, only the moon goddess knows.

Aurora felt too lonely and stood silently in the back of the crowd, looking at the happy people on the make shift stage that was present in the center of the wide backyard.

All the people on the stage were dressed luxuriously and had a happy smile filling on their face.

She looked at the so called family of hers, by blood but not by heart and soul, Alpha William Bentick, Sebastian Bentick and Andrea Bentick.

They were her family. They were supposed to be with her and support her in her life. They even forbid her to use the family name Bentick, as they said that it would bring them and to their surname, shame.

Most importantly today, technically after five minutes, was her 18th birthday. But no one bothered to even remember it, forget about hoping to hear wishes from her so called family, from any of them for that matter.

The day on which she would shift for the first time in her life. The most important day on every werewolves life.

She had heard the other members of the pack say, that the first shift was the most painful one in the entire life of a werewolf.

As for the first time, their bones would break and reshape to form their wolf body.

Thinking about each and every little bone in her body breaking on its own to give her, her new wolf form, Aurora involuntary shivered thinking about the amount of pain she had to endure while shifting into her wolf.

More importantly shifting alone, without any emotional support.

She clearly knows that no one in her family or not even the other pack members would help her during her shifting.

That was her biggest fear in her heart for several years. Those terrible years she spent alone in her broken attic, after the death of her mom.

That inner most fear of her that she had to endure the pain of shifting alone without no one to aid her through the transition process.

She prayed that by miraculously she could atleast find her mate today so that he could help her in her shifting process.

But she really knew that it was a very slim chance.

As no one in her pack would be her mate, as today only she was the only one turning 18 years old in her whole pack.

Even if by chance, she had her mate among the members of her pack, he would have found her back then.

Even if it’s for rejecting her, at the least he should have approached her before.

But till now, nothing of that sort had happened to her.

So she definitely knew that she didn’t have her mate among the members of her pack sadly and then she was going to go through her shifting process alone.

She felt sorry for herself. She sighed heavily and then looked at the stage again.

There stood the Gamma family in the other side with all teeth showing and smiles on their faces.

Chance Gary, the future Gamma of the pack, stood beside her elder sister Andrea Bentick.

Then followed by them stood the current Gamma, Todd Gary with his mate, Benny Gary and his second son, Chase Gary.

For a second, Aurora felt a lingering gaze on her which was so disturbing and intruding at the same time.

Searching through the large crowd, she finally caught hold of the brown eyes of him that was looking in her direction, clearly looking at her intensely without any doubt.

The pair of brown eyes belonged to the one person, whom Aurora didn’t expect to keep his focus on her, especially on this day.

It was none other than Chance Gary, the mate of her elder sister Andrea Bentick.

Instead of looking at his mate and soon to be fiancée Andrea, he looked straight at Aurora, even though she made great efforts to hide herself today from the eyes of others.

Aurora felt totally exposed on feeling that penetrating gaze on her, filled with stubborn intensity, determined to read the thoughts running though her mind.

It was like that gaze had the capability to see through her inner soul, which kind of terrified Aurora to dine extend.

Such intensity filled gaze made Aurora to unable to avoid it. She was rooted to her spot and stared right back at Chance Gary not knowing why she was feeling such a pull towards him and why in the sixth level of hell, she was not able to evade his intense stare.

When Aurora was fighting these distributing thoughts in her mind, Alpha William Bentick started to speak again.

All of Aurora’s confusions and questions were answered clearly the next minute making her to lose her mind for a second.

There was one minute left to the midnight, the day after that was Aurora’s birthday.

“Let the future couple come in front of the stage and exchange your engagement rings, in the presence of the members of the pack, with them as your witnesses of your happy occasion”, Alpha William Bentick said, making everyone to avert their eyes towards the center of the make shift stage.

The minute the clock striked 12'o clock at the midnight, the couple, Chance and Andrea standing on the stage started exchanging their engagement rings and celebrated their happy occasion by kissing each other.

At one side, the elder sister was celebrating her happiness while the other side, the younger sister was too shocked to even take a breath and looked at the make shift stage without blinking her eyes.

All her questions and confusions were answered right at the moment and it was right in front of her, the reality of the situation slapping her right at her face.

Aurora looked so shocked that she didn’t even know that her innocent eyes were tearing up and the pure white tears were dropping continuously from her eyes and rolled over her cheeks like the rain drops falling on a monsoon season.

All of a sudden like a lightning had striked her she reeled in her consciousness and looked again at the make shift stage, more particularly at the main couple at the stage who were kissing each other passionately.

Her teary gaze clashed against the intense gaze of Chance Gary, that was sent in her direction.

Only then everything made sense to her. The reason she felt attracted to him in her childhood days and truth to be told, even now.

The reason why she didn’t felt disgusted when he touched her sometimes in the past. Sure enough she felt violated by him back then, but she didn’t felt disgust towards him.

And all of that aside, now, just a few seconds before, the reason why she didn’t and couldn’t avert and avoid his gaze on her.

It’s all because, her elder sister Andrea's supposed mate and new fiancé, the future Gamma of the pack, Chance Gary turns out to be her MATE.

MATE…?MATE..! MATE?!!!!!!

He was her MATE!!!!!
