Catherine looked down at the phone in her hand when it started buzzing. Seeing it was Brad, she swiped to answer.
“Hello?”
“Hey, Catherine,” Brad said.
“Hey, Brad. What’s up?”
“I just wanted to see if you wanted a ride to Haven,” he said. “Anna’s riding with me because she’s not in the mood to drive. I figured we could all carpool so we don't waste gas. We can swing by and pick you up.”
“Thanks, Brad, but I’m good,” she replied. “I’m going with Aunt Grace. Mother Superior invited her to the anniversary too.”
“Oh, gotcha,” he said. “So we’ll just see you there?”
“Definitely,” she said. “Did you already order the food we’re bringing?”
“All set. Anna and I are going to go pick it up before we head over,” Brad told her.
“Okay, sounds like a plan. See you there. Drive safe,” she said.
