Catherine opened her eyes as sleep continued to elude her. She had been trying to rest for a while, but slumber still wouldn't come. She wanted to fall asleep before Travis returned to the room, knowing he often wouldn't come back until he was certain she was sound asleep and sometimes not until midnight.
