Catherine woke up in the middle of the night with her stomach rumbling. She slowly sat up and climbed out of bed, careful not to wake Travis who was sleeping soundly beside her.
Once she was up, she glanced back at him. Seeing that he was in a deep sleep, she noticed the blanket had shifted off his shoulder. She moved to his side of the bed to gently pull the covers back over him. Catherine paused for a second when he shifted, fearing he might wake, but he simply changed positions and remained asleep. She gazed at him briefly before quietly stepping out of the room.
The hallway was dark, so she flicked on the light as she headed downstairs to the kitchen. She opened the fridge and began searching, but after several minutes of looking, she couldn't find anything that appealed to her. She
