"It's time!" We heard Jennifer's mom yell as she ran out of the packhouse. I looked back at my beautiful mate and saw she had turned back to human but the scales were still spread all over her body. I have to admit that the scales were somewhat luring. It was absolutely beautiful. The colors of blue and white lured me to her.
"Time for what?! What the f**k is going on?!" John yelled. It felt like everything was just going in incredibly slow motion. I didn't even know what on earth she was talking about. She rushed over to Jennifer and gently caressed her face, trying to get her to wake up. I could see the immense care that Charlotte showed for Jennifer. I was thankful in that moment that her family flew up here to he here for the ritual.
