Julietta / Julia Dominic held out his hand for me to take. I didn’t know what he had planned for us, but I placed my hand in his. His eyes sparkled with renewed vigor, further arousing my curiosity. He led me towards the main gate rather than to his car. “Aren’t we taking the car?” I glanced at his amused face. “No, we’re walking.” He led me down the streets, and I looked around in a new light. I had been in New York for the last two years, but I had never enjoyed the sights and sounds of the city as much. “Where?” Now I realized why he had forced me to wear flats instead of the stilettos that matched the dress.
