I was stunned to see Dominic Sylvester at Eric’s house. How did he find me? After everything he had done, I had expected never to meet him again. In fact, I didn’t want to meet him.
He stared at me, his gaze taking in the purplish marks on my face. Didn’t he know they were of his doing? The cop had inflicted these wounds because of him. I looked away, wanting to block him out. Struggling to get my battered body up, I sat at the edge of the bed to face him.
“I’m sorry, Julia, he just barged in,” said Eric, coming into the room in an agitated state. I could understand he had fought for me.
I turned to face Mr. Sylvester. Did he think he could barge in anywhere? “I don’t want to see you, Mr. Sylvester. Why are you here?”
