Anne Moore I slept poorly last night. I can't find peace in this house. I hate this place, but I'm forced to stay. My chest feels tight. I miss the girls, I miss everything I have been experiencing. Damn the time I decided to work for Carter Enterprises. I was still lying down, but I pretended to sleep and saw Andrew stop by my room this morning to say goodbye to Cloe, but she was still sleeping, so he just kissed her head and left for work. Later, Cloe woke up, and her first question was where Uncle Andrew was. Damn it! She's already attached to that wretch. I told her he was going to work, but he'd be back tonight. "Mommy, Aunt Matilda made me a cake," Cloe said while eating a piece of chocolate cake. I was taking a bath and didn't even see Matilda enter the room. "Is it good?" I ask
