Coming to California was perhaps the best decision I’ve made all year and being with Emily made it better.
I had never felt so free and fulfilled since I married Sebastian and I was glad that I was slowly getting my life back and living it on my terms.
On evenings when Emily comes back from set, we would go exploring the city, revelling in the night sights and drinking up the entire goodness of the city plus we had a lot of adventures lined up already.
So, it was a typical morning, after Emily had gone to work and I was puttering in the kitchen doing some baking when the doorbell rang. Thinking it would be Emily who came back to pick her makeup bag, I rushed to the door with it.
“I realized like 20 minutes after you’ve left,” I said with a big smile as I opened the door.
