Austin’s POV
“Mr Miller,” Helen’s face appeared at the door “there’s someone here to see you, he goes by the name Tom and he said you’re expecting him,”.
“Yeah, yeah,” I nodded looking up from the bulk of work I had on my table “Please ask him to come to my office,”.
Helen nodded in agreement and disappeared from the door, going back to her office.
Tom (not his real name though) is one of my private eyes. He was responsible for all the dirt I had dug up on clients in the past. He could discover even the dirtiest of secrets and that was why he’s on my payroll and the most paid. I felt guilty for trying to dig dirt about Emily but recently; since her cousin showed, I’ve had my doubts about her and it heightened when she was asked about her descent at the TV show a couple of weeks ago,
