I was angry.
Angry at myself, my past and my cousin who wanted to put an end to my best friend’s marriage. I didn’t care if it was true or false but I needed to talk to Gail anyways because it was long overdue. Besides, I didn’t want her here spoiling everything that I have built for myself with one careless move.
I couldn't believe she hasn’t changed much since Middle school.

It was a long day at school and I was visibly tired. Gail had just started senior year while I was still a junior but we usually go home together after the last school bell.
When she became a senior, Gail had assured me that nothing would change and so far nothing has changed.
