Emily’s POV
We were in the middle of another media round for our new movie and my phone was vibrating nonstop; whoever the caller was, he/she wasn’t relenting.
“Hey babe,” Jack’s arm came around me as soon we stepped outside. Our relationship hasn’t had a chance since the fire incident and these days it felt as though we were being forced.
“Hi,” I turned my cheek sideway to take his peck.
“Where are you headed?” he asked.
“My phone has been ringing like crazy,” I explained fumbling for it inside my bag, I need to find out who is calling,”.
“Okay,” he nodded. “I’ll be here mingling till you get back,” he added and kissed me lightly on my lips before disappearing.
Finally, out of my sight, I pulled out the phone and noticed it was an unknown number. I dialled it back.
“Hello,”
