We were back to the therapist again.
I thought after announcing his kinship with me, it would truly cause some awkwardness between us but it didn't happen. Rather, I felt safer but it wasn't because he was my grandfather but because he seems to understand. I didn't have to explain too much. He knew, the pain was relatable and I was grateful for that.
