Angela's ear was pressed hard against her cell phone; it rang over and over again. Panicked, she ended the call and dialed again. No answer. Jameson had left for the jail just after lunch to speak with a new client. It was after five now, and they had dinner plans. Tonight she and Jameson were supposed to discuss things. After practically jumping over himself when Angela suggested dinner, she knew something was wrong. There was no way that Jameson would stand her up. First, they lived in the same house; she knew where to find him. Second of all, she knew she could trust him. No, whatever was going on, wherever he was, he had a reason for being there.
