Part 2: Chapter 16: She's Leaving me Again
The fundraiser looked to be in full swing when Dean and I entered. The place was packed, I would have to give them a pat on the back for the extent they went to decorating. This was a costume theme, and it was elegant themed, not cheesy Halloween. The women had evening gowns with elegant masks helping hide their identity. The men were all in black suits with masks as well, Mark and Scott were adamant about this feature for the fundraiser, they wanted the thrill of not knowing going through the evening. Even though I wasn't sure who all was here, I know that they only invited the upper class, and you could almost smell the money when you walked in the room. The items that the patrons of this city had donated to be auctioned were all set up on the balcony above
