Chapter 2

Few weeks has flew by since the last day I have been at my secret place because I'm always busy this days doing the chores around the house, and as a punishment I'm not allowed to go outside the house . I'm being punished because that day I came back late to the house because I was busy admiring the view and the beauty of that place,until I forgot to look at the time and the darkness around me to confirm that it's already at night. And just because of that I'm grounded so I have no choice but to stay inside the house and do everything, I'm even not allowed to take a bath with hot water but that didn't bother me because I'm used to cold water. Right now I'm currently sitting on the bed looking at the moon and stars that are outside through the window since I'm not allowed to go outside, And I'm busy wondering to myself about would my life will be like right now if my own mother was still alive .How happy would've been to see her around me while she gives me warm hugs and kisses everyday ,I don't wanna think negatively about my mother so I would only be thinking about good things only .

"Why are you just sitting there starring at nothing; mom have been calling you for a while now but you are just too busy thinking about whatever nonsense that you thinking about in that stupid little head of yours to hear her calling you",Julia says as she is standing at the door while looking at me and my room with a disgust look on her face ,and not even wanting to come near it .

"Sorry I didn't notice that she was calling me,I will be going upstairs than",I said as I started heading upstairs,And at that moment she just looked at me one last time before she also headed upstairs herself while me following her closely. After turning the corners of the hallway of our house we finally reached the destination and as I noticed ,we are entering the study room where dad always sits when he's doing some work or having important issues to discuss it with the people of the community and many more important things.

As Julia and I enter the room I see dad sitting on his chair ,while Juliet is standing next to him near the chair and Julia has also taken a sit opposite to dad facing him and a little smirk playing on her lips and also steering at her mother who is also sharing the same expression on her face. What's going on her ,I asked myself as I'm busy looking at them ,All of a sudden a shiver runs down my spine because those smirks on their faces means trouble I know them too well to not notice.And I know that something wrong must have happened or still going to happen sooner or later .

"Amber take a sit because what I'm about to tell right now is really important and you should listen very well and carefully cause if you make any unnecessary mistake while doing it,I will punish you hard .And I will make you wish you were never born , do you understand me Amber ". Charlie says as he's busy starring hard at me making sure that I don't get the warning.

"Yes sir ",I replied as I continued to stare at the floor not wanting to look at him and how scary he looked while saying that.

"Good I have called all of you here because i wanted to talk to you about something important , Some important people are coming here to this house to discuss important matters and I have decided to invite them to visit on Julia's upcoming birthday so that we can talk privately and later on enjoy the party . So this party is really important so don't mess things up".

Charlie says as he's starring at everyone in the room to make himself clear.

"Yes dear", Juliet replied first as she looks at him with love in her eyes.

"Yes father",Julia also replied as she blushed while looking at the floor for the first in years that I have known her.

"Yes sir",I also reply as I continue to look at the ground like it's there's something interesting on it ,just that I can avoid having eye contact with him.

"So Amber since you will be helping Juliet and Julia in preparing for the party you will do everything that they tell you to do , I want this party to be perfect I don't wanna hear a single word about something went wrong if that happens fix it quickly.And don't make me regret making this decision ", Charlie says as he stands up from his chair reaching in his pocket and giving Juliet a card for her to buy all the things that will be needed for the party .

"Yes dear husband we will make sure that this party will be perfect and you will not regret it dear",she says as she receives the card from Charlie, while little sparkles play in her eyes as she looks at the card in her hands.

"Yes father just as mother said it herself we will make this party perfect and you don't have to worry about a thing ,you will be proud of us father after the party ",Julia also replied after her mother who was busy smiling at herself like a child who just got a candy. I'm sure that she's over the clouds with joy and happiness just because important people will be attending her party.

"Oh and I almost forgot,I suggest that Amber should not be punished or receive any punishment for this couple of days until the day of the party has passed ,We don't want our guests to look at us with suspecting eyes just because she will be covered in bruises and also buy something for her to wear on the party. And I making myself clear Juliet ". Charlie says as he's heading out the door.

"Yes dear I will do just that", Juliet replied as she's busy glaring like I'm the one who told her to buy me something.
