Chapter 4 - Introducing Elijah

419 Words
"Elijah!" Alpha Elliot roared. "Get your ass down here right now!" Elijah ran down the stairs to find his father pacing in front of his large mahogany desk in his office. "What is this? Explain yourself!" he flung Elijah's report card at his chest and he continued stomping in front of his desk. Elijah read his report card and noted his D in Math with the note "not working to his full potential." Elijah hung his head shamefully. "I'll work up the grade Dad," he muttered. "You had better! Roman began panting as Elijah pushed him hard, trying to outrun the memories. Finally, he allowed Roman to slow and he crested another hill. Roman paced around still digesting Elijah's feelings. He let out an angry howl before charging back down the hill towards home. Once back home Elijah showered and lmocked on his dad's study door. "Come in!" his father called. Elijah cleared his throat as he entered the room. "Dad?" he asked. His dad grunted but didn't look up from the paperwork on his desk. "I found my mate today." Elijah announced. His dad glanced up at him. "And?" he asked gruffly. Elijah sighed and responded, "It's Emily. From the Silverback Pack." Alpha Elliot stopped shuffling papers and looked at Elijah. "Praise the Moon Goddess. We can finally forge our alliance. When will you be presenting her to the pack?" he asked. Elijah sighed, "About that..."
