Chapter 15:

670 Words
Somewhere above England. Malcom stands at the door looking down at the now deserted town that once was an extension of England. It is night and the ground is ominously covered in mist. There is movement all around in the mist, it reminds Malcum of rats sprawling around. Blind and mobbish. The plane is currently hovering or rather drifting at a high altitude. A green light flashes behind Malcum. "Go, good luck man!" The pilot's voice sounds on the speaker. Malcum then jumps. As he is falling, he can feel the wind rushing past his face. His clothes are flipping and gyrating like a flag in the wind. As the ground closes in and the clouds go past him, he feels a sense of peace and serenity. All sounds fade to the background and his mind goes clean as his thoughts also slow down and becomes tranquil. A little light appears in his mind as a few words flicker through his mind. "i'm here. you'll be safe. go ahead and grow." And Malcum opens his eyes, the sound of the wind and clothes return to him, and his thoughts sorts themselves. He sees the supposed meeting spot on a hill. He opens his parachute and lands on the hill. The movement in the mist stops and a strange silence enters the field. Malcum can clearly see tombstones around him, and a few dead trees stand around. A black figure stands in the mist ahead of him. It is an undead troll. It’s disfigured face turns slowly to face him. It simply stares at him. The stare lasts long enough that Malcum is becoming convinced that it is safe to move. He moves towards the top of the hill. At the top, a large figure sits and stares at the sky, facing away from Malcum. It's black ragged cloak floating in the air, slowly moving as if waves are passing through it. The closer Malcum gets, the more power he can feel from this creature. Malcum gets to five meters away from it when a boney, raspy voice starts to talk with him. "Welcome, Malcum. It is our first-time meeting, but I do know you." "How do you know me? I am not that popular or strong." "There is a prophecy about you, but that is another story. And it won't do you any good to know about it anyway. So come closer and sit with me. The sky is beautiful today." "How would you know? I don't mean to be rude but there is mist everywhere." "Amateur, don't worry, you will get super vision later in life, so it is fine." The figure reveals a bony hand and reaches to the sky. The mist then clears as the stars are shown. Malcum walks closer and sits on the stone next to the figure. The entirety of the figure comes to view. Malcum stares at the sky with the figure. "I thought you were a vampire." "I became a lich like, three or four years ago. It isn't considered public knowledge." "I see. And your, companions, are rather tame." "I know right!" The figure sounds excited and jittery. "So basically, what you do is, you remove the zombie part of their names during creation. This tricks the system into making them puppets instead, but with zombie strength, speed and abilities. This is super useful as it makes them more tame, less stupid and keeps the physical limiter removal skill. Sorry, I got too excited." The figure sits back in his seat. "No problem. You are very enthusiastic about it huh?" "Yip, it is my hobby to be master of my craft. And I haven't had anyone to talk to recently. So, thank you for giving me this chance." "No problem." "For the record, those gargoyles would never have been able to kill you. Since they are also puppets. So, I made them not kill you, if that makes sense." "I see. Yes, it does do not worry." "I am not worried.
