Unconsciously, I drew another step back, and his eyes narrowed in on that. His lips lifted in a sadistic smile and I clenched my fists, feeling the shiver run down my spine. My heart thumped loudly in my chest and my lips dried. Swallowing was almost painful. Kielan paused in his steps and crooked his fingers toward me. “Come to me, Lylah.” His voice was so low, so freaking gentle. I feared what he had in mind. “Wh… Why should I?” Despite the danger lurking, I was still being stubborn. I wasn't just digging my grave, I was willingly going into it. He smiled, arms folded. “Come to me when I'm still asking nicely, Lylah. You don't want to know how far I can go just to punish you, do you?” Blue eyes that were supposed to be cute were filled with the darkness I recognized all too well.
