Jason, Miriam, and I spent most of the rest of the morning going over plans and strategies. We knew that Kane had been in Bears Lake earlier that morning, but we had no way of knowing where the witch had zapped him back to. Jason said that they had a warlock friend who had helped them place shields over most of the territory to keep the rogues out after his dad died, but the warlock had been unable to cover the entire territory because it would have weakened the shields too much to spread them so far. The pack members all knew where the shields were and stayed in those areas. The only ones that went outside of those areas were the warriors, in groups of no less than ten. They went out to patrol the areas and ensure no one was there causing problems, and that's when they had spotted Kane
