Chapter 23
Rebecca was amazed at how fast the time sped by. She and George worked steady on the front display while Mavis spent her time waiting on customers and getting their supply orders put together. Before she knew it, George’s stomach was growling, signaling lunch time. Not wanting to lose her momentum, Rebecca nibbled on leftover pizza from the night before, and then got right back to work.
Although Rebecca had worked steadily, she had also been interrupted more times than she could count by customers and friends who had walked by and either seen her working in the window or wanted to find out more information about the holiday festivities.
