Chapter 25
“That's just beautiful. Are you positive that it's ours, Scott?"
"Yes, Becca that's part of your inheritance."
The three of them were standing alongside the road, looking out over a wide expanse of land next to a beautiful wooded lake. Off to the side was a two-story house, not a cottage, with a wide veranda overlooking the water. There was a long pier that jutted out into the lake that would be perfect in the summer for fishing and boating. The upper floor also had a balcony with French doors opening out onto it. Even though most of the leaves had fallen from the trees, it was clear to both girls what a beautiful setting it was.
"Come on, let's walk down and explore. The power’s on, the caretaker was here earlier in the week to check on things."
