I AM SORRY!

The day after all the chaos Lilith woke up beside Lucian. She flinched in pain when she tried to move, then Lucian said to her;

“Don’t move! You will only trigger more pain if you do so”

“And whose fault do you think that will be!” they both got lost staring into each other’s eyes, each of them were thinking of different things. Lilith was fuming with Lucian, but she kept her anger hidden from him, although despite her efforts to keep her fury hidden Lucian could see right through her. He swallowed hard and apologized to her;

“Hey! I am sorry!” he apologized earnestly but Lilith acted like she didn’t know what he was apologizing for. Why should she? When he was the one that broke his promise to her. He was still looking into her eyes, but Lilith had sworn that no matter what if he breaks his promise she wouldn’t let it slide.

“For what?” she asked ignorantly as she bore the pain and stood on her feet.

“For breaking my promise!” she took off the ball gown right in front of him, she was hurt to be bothered by what he could be thinking looking at her body.

“I don’t know what you’re talking about!” she said to him without a hint of worry or frustration in her voice, while wearing her clothes. Lucian didn’t know what was going on with him or why he needs to apologize to her badly. he never apologizes to anyone, but she’s different, because seeing her hurt makes him sad and seeing her happy makes him feel like floating in the sky.

 “I am done here! I should be heading back because I have a flight to catch tomorrow to Texas … alright goodbye!” she rushed out of the room and out of the castle. Lucian went after her, but she wouldn’t turn back. She walked on the streets looking for a cab but couldn’t find any so she had to walk on her feet. She rested when she got tired and after a while continued walking Lucian was begging her all through, he even attempted to carry her but she swatted his hands away from her body. She continued trekking until she finally got to her apartment.

When she got home Lucian forced his way into her apartment. He saw Karan on her bed in the process of following her all around the house. He seemed to be reading something on her laptop. He got really furious and asked her;

So tell me is he the reason you wouldn’t listen to reason!” Lucian focused his burning eyes on Karan as if he wanted to tear him into pieces. Lilith could see how angry he was, she blocked his view of Karan and said:

Your bone is with me, so don’t involve Karan in it!” Karan was silent watching the two, he found them entertaining so he just continued watching. When Lucian looked really agitated, like he wanted to destroy the entire building, Karan quietly stood up and left the room for the two. It was not in his place to say or do anything he thought.

 Lilith was looking at Lucian furiously and he was just approaching her with gentle little steps, while she kept moving backwards until she bumped into the bed behind her, she looked up and found that he was standing right in front of her. she skipped in fear and fell on the bed while trying to hold Lucian which made him to fall atop her. He was looking into her worry stricken eyes when the laptop caught his attention and he read a few lines of the book. He opened his eyes wide in shock and yelled;

“You coward! Hypocrite! I trusted you and you were about to sell the vampire community, their secrets, their way of life out to the world!” Lilith got frightened by his increased fury and tone of voice she quickly asked him;

“What are you talking about?” her voice was now brittle with fear.

This!” he pointed to the book she wrote on her laptop. He carried the laptop in his arms and scanned through everything she has written and asked her furiously;

“Have you sent this?” her body trembled with fear as she answered.

“Yeah I sent just two chapters!”

“Just two chapters!” he rolled his eyes and gritted his teeth, he was furious at her. Although he was aware that no one will believe her tale, but he still felt betrayed. After all he trusted her, but aside from all that his feeling was hurt. What struck Lucian the most, was how she was able to recall everything that has happened thus far and even document it as a novel. Even though it was not a big deal to him he was still very sad. He felt defeated by her innocent look like she didn’t do anything wrong.

“Those two chapters could destroy our lives over here, don’t you get it!” Lucian explained to her with gritted teeth. While they were still talking he received a message from Argo. He took out his phone saw something on his phone which increased his agitation. He dragged her from the bed and said;

“A law is a law and its applicable to everyone! … for exposing a delicate secrets of the vampire society, I Lucian Morningstar head of the Vampire society will hold you captive until I see fit to release you!” Lucian carried her over the shoulder and opened his wings, he broke her custom window glass with just his stare and flew away with her. Karan rushed in when heard the window breaking but by the time he arrived they has left, he sighed and said;

“Oh boy! Oh boy! this is a terrible task honestly … pffft why are guys so annoying sometimes if you love the girl just f*****g give whatever the two of you have together a label” he was looking at the broken window for a while as if he was expecting someone, when suddenly a girl dressed in black leather pants a white camisole paired with a black leather jacket jumped into the building with an evil smirk o her face;

“So tell me! What’s up Karan?”

“Well it’s what its’s … I can’t say if she has feeling in her heart for him or not but they could be an adorable couple. By the way I sent the rest of her novel to the publishing company just as you have commanded me to!” she tipped her head to him and said;

“Good job cousin! Although, don’t you think you are being a bit too harsh on her?” they both smiled and he answered her;

“Well what can I say… she’s cute but a job is a job at the end of the day!” she sighed and said;

“Oh well” I was ordered to tell you, to look after her a bit more, so she doesn’t feel dismayed1” He wagged his head and before he could reply her, she jumped off the window and went away

“It’s always one order or the other. how frustrating.”   

Lucian threw Lilith on the bed angrily, when they arrived at his mansion. She quickly released her pent up anger on him;

“What the hell is wrong with you? I don’t want to be in this goddamn building anymore let me go! Don’t you understand?” she sat up straight on the bed with her legs crossed and her eyes glaring at him.

“What? I told you there is no escape for you after breaking the rules governing the vampire society and so there is no escape for you.” He answered her with a frown on his face and seriousness in his tone of voice.

“What freaking laws are you going on about?” she asked him with a creased browse and attitude in her gestures.

“I confessed to you already, …” the place was silent for a while before she continued talking

 “It wasn’t intentional, I didn’t know about the laws you are talking about, even the story I wrote was inspired from my dreams. I didn’t even realize until my memory was restored at that time by the witches and I was able to join all the blank spaces for me to come to the realization that everything came back to me as a dream. And I know you might find this hard to believe but every time you wiped my memory away, I find myself dreaming about the portion of my memory that you wiped away. And as for the story I wrote it that time because I thought it was okay since my mind invented it. I am going to delete the rest okay just let me go!” Lilith’s eyes were teary. She stood up from the bed with a yelp of pain, she sustained from how Lucian threw her on the bed.

“You must be insane which story are going to delete? when it’s already online …” the place grew silent with Lilith looking confused;

“What!” she was still puzzled, as she answered him stuttering;

“B-bu-but I haven’t submitted it yet!” she stuttered as she tried to understand him.
