HIS FAMILY!

“Yes! Yes, I am proud” they both giggled as they opened Kathy’s room to find her with a mischievous smile” Helio looked at her puzzled

“Aunty why are you all bubbly when you were looking downcast some hours back… I thought you were worried about uncle!” she couldn’t help but to give him a snorted laugh;

“Me! Worried about Lucian, he doesn’t need worrying, I was only concern about the poor human girl, but he protected her, just like I wanted him to!

“But how did you know?” Felix smiled at him answered him with a grin;

“She’s a witch Helio!” they both laughed. Helio asked her again;

“Did you see the message I sent to you?” Helio stared at her with his wide goggle eyes  

“Yeah Helio but that wasn’t needed although I am very proud of you for trying to send that message to me in order to warn your uncle” she played with Helios’s blond hair playfully.     

With Helio and Felix in Kathy’s room she was unable to continues eavesdropping on her brother like she was doing before they came in. she cursed in her mind; “The little brats of all time to come to my room they just had to come know!” she smiled mischievously after rummaging her mind for ideas and said;

“Hey! Do you guys want to listen to your corny uncle lie?” they both nodded their head. She did her magic and made them seat on the rug as they all listened to Lucian being manipulative to Lilith.   

As they have been cautiously listening to the discussion between Lucian and Lilith, Kathy looked up at Helio and said;

“Your uncle figured everything out before you could even explain things to him” she smiled at him and he replied her saying;

“Yeah he is that smart! I learnt…”

“So tell me how are you going to hide Felix, cause your father will be angry that you took shelter with the enemy!”

“My mum knows I am here!”

“That’s a good thing then… I will make a special necklace for you to wear ‘tiny’, when you are in trouble, call out to me or Lucian and we will be there!” she hugged the two and send them off to bed.

Lilith woke up with grumbling stomach. She was so hungry that she could hardly walk. She took lazy strides to the bathroom, and washed her face and brushed her teeth. Then she decided to have a warm bath, she took off her clothes and stood under the warm shower. The hot water trailed from her hair down to her feet. Steam was emitting from her body as the water graced her skin. When she was done washing her body she tied a towel around her chest and stood in front of the mirror to dry her hair. When she was done drying her hair, she took long strides to leave the bathroom only to meet Lucian standing in front of the exit bathroom door, her heart skipped in fear at his sight. She was speechless and lacked what to say, so she asked him;

“I need a change of clothes.” He pointed her to his drawer and without wasting a minute she went to search for what to wear, but as she searched she found that there were no female clothes there, so she grabbed his shirt and his shorts and wore it at the spot. She didn’t even spare him a glance, she just wore the clothes and went to seat on the sofa, with his eyes still fixed on her, she said to him;

“I am hungry, I need food!” he smiled at her nonchalant face and just entered the bathroom. After a while he left the bathroom and came out smelling all nice, she raised her eyes to look him and thought to herself;

‘I might as well get used to looking at him that way, since I will be staying here,’ she exhaled and continued looking at his every movement as he got dressed. Lucian was aware of her every stare, but he wasn’t bothered in the least. After a while, he said to her playfully;

“If you continue staring at me like that I will kiss you so much until drop death!” the place grew silent after his comment, until someone knocked on the door, the person opened the door without waiting for an answer. Lilith quickly recognizes the person and greeted him politely;

Good morning sir!

Morning my future daughter in-law…” she was puzzled by his response, so she turned to look at Lucian. She was speechless

“Breakfast Is ready, you should join, don’t always stay here locked up my dear… alright I will let you two get dressed for breakfast!”

“What does your father mean by daughter in-law!” she asked immediately with agitation in her tone of voice

“Well! That’s what they think and I had to play along or else my father wouldn’t think twice to snap your neck if he learns that the story published against the vampire laws was all your doing… so it will serve you well to play along!”

Lilith had worn a short pleated gown that Lucian gave her to wear for dinner. It felt too short she thought but she was not to be bothered since Lucian gave it to her by himself. She was way more concerned by how hungry she was feeling. Lilith was growing impatient waiting for Lucian to finish whatever it was he was doing in the room so that she can have her breakfast. She was agitated by how Lucian was moving slowly in everything he was doing. She rolled her eyes at him every time she looked at him. for she had a feeling he was taking his time intentionally to provoke her. When she could no longer wait for him she stood up angrily and went out of the room. She walked down the hall staring at pictures and some unique ancient doors that were uniquely carved while she murmured to herself. She went downstairs but couldn’t find the dining table. Lilith was so frustrated, she made a fist as she slowly climbed upstairs and went back to Lucian’s room. She found him seating on the sofa well dressed in black jeans trousers, a white shirt, he was in sneakers shoe and his usual to go for hand beads. When he caught a glimpse of her he said;

“It took you long enough! … let’s get going” Lilith glared at him with so much anger heated up inside of her, she gradually sat down on the bed and said to him

“I am so hungry that I can’t even move”

“News flash Hun, in prison you don’t get food easily as you wish, so you have to cooperate” he stood up and picked her up in his arms with a grin on his face. he walked speedily that even Lilith couldn’t see where they were heading to, so she closed her eyes. When they arrived she opened her eyes and saw the whole family seated on a dining table that was lavishly laid out with assorted food outside in the garden. The place smelt very because of the blooming flowers around and the chirping of the birds was music to the ears. Lilith exhaled as she watched Lucian draw out a chair for her like a gentle man.

She sat down and raised her eyes to look at the people staring at her. She first sight of Helio who smiled widely at her and then a tiny boy seated close to Helio, she said to him;

“Hello tiny! You are so cute like a girl” he blushed as he smiled at her. Looking around she saw Kathy, Killian and Vlad. She greeted them all politely and looked down at her food. She licked her lips and swallowed hard. She was about to start eating when Vlad said;

“These is not our entire family! These are only a few of us, you’ve met the eldest I suppose. He goes by the name Kaden, he’s kind of crazy but we are still looking for a way to calm him down. I heard all about your encounter with him. That was really funny! Also there are two others by the name Jaden and Samaria or you can call her Sammy, she is Helios’s mother, I know you haven’t met her yet but you will soon meet her. She has a wife by the Kiara. Kiara is Helios’s father in more ways I can’t explain… it’s difficult to explain but yeah she got my daughter pregnant with this cute grandson of mine…”

“Gramps!!!” they all screamed out his name at the same time, giving him weird glances

“Well! I thought if she would soon be my grand-daughter in-law she should know all about our family history right?”

“No!!” they all screamed at the same time and Kathy said;
