THE BEAUTY OF HER EYES!

Lilith and her new found friend stood in front of the table filled with varieties of food and snacks. Helios's eyes were glowing with desire to taste all the sweet dishes there. Just as he was about to dug in, he noticed Lilith's worried face;

"Hey lady! I am hungry here! The food staring at me is not helping my empty stomach at the moment." She was still lost in her thoughts.

'I have never come across such an arrogant, proud man like that before! But he was able to keep me locked into his eyes for that long? I mean no one has ever done that to me before. Something about his eye, makes me wonder if feelings are a thing these days.

I have never seen a magnificent shade of sea green eyes like his, yet my instincts warn me of danger and my heart tremble with sudden fear I can't explain' Helio smacked her bum suddenly. He couldn't even belief he did that at the realization of what he had just done, he quickly hid under the table. Lilith came back to her senses at the realization of what little Helio just did. She puts her hands on her hips with her elbows out. And yelled;

“Oh no! you little brat didn't just do what I think you did." He smiled at her and said; “I really didn't, it was my uncle! He pointed at Lucian who was standing behind her some feet away.

“What! How did he get here all the way from there? She turned to him and said I am going to teach you some good manners young man and once I am done your Mama will thank me for it. She was about to get on her knees and follow him under the table when she felt strong arms wrapped around her waist. She was pulled into a warm embrace;

"You never can tell how fast I can be, can you?" Lilith pushed Lucian away from her and yelled;

"What is your problem man? you are a stranger to me stay some feet away from me will you?" the crowd turned to see the lady that yelled at none other than Lucian. Small charters made rounds in the hall. Lucian was awestruck. 'she's definitely immune to my charms, that has never happened before!' he thought to himself while pinching his chin with a sly smirk on his face. he was so carried away by the presence of Lilith that he didn't even realize that his enemy was going to fro amongst the crowd watching him closely.

Kaden smiled at everything that had just transpired. He was liking Lilith by each of their encounters. She is nothing like the other girls. She is immune to the illegitimate son's charms and she stands up to him with so much attitude. That's the kind of woman I need! Someone who supports me and isn't carried away by some unknown charm hidden in that monster.

Jaden was completely weakened by the dogrose and buckthorn. He could hardly feel his own body. He tried his best to escape the captivity severally but he couldn't, he was at his limits. He prayed inwardly for someone to come to his aid, but no matter how much he prayed, it was as if his voice was unheard to the universe. He laid helplessly and hoped his brother Lucian come to his aid. The frightened witch was seated at on the floor some good distance away from him. he could tell she was frightened but she was more frightened of his brother than him. if he was going to be staying locked for some reason he was unaware of, he concluded it will be better if he got all the information that could be of help to his brother once he was rescued. Looking at the frightened witch he mustered up all the strength he had and cackled viciously, throwing at her deathly glares;

"What are you and my brother up to, don't make me ask you twice, otherwise I promise, you will regret it. Don't think that my senses are asleep because of the dogrose and the buckthorn… my body? Yes, its weak but not my senses, always awake and I can get to my brother with any slightest chance he passes or visits the chapel."

"Your-your-your mother is awake and they are all part of this, that's all I can say." She buried her frightened face in her palms. He looked at her with pity and lets his tired eyes close for some rest without fighting it.

"Trust me lady! I wanted you to!" Lilith was smiling but when she heard his cocky remarks, she rolled her eyes at him and walked away from there, with Helio right behind her back;

"Imagine the nerve of that man! just because I spared him a look, that doesn't give him the right to act cocky with me!" Helio smiled and said under his breath;

"Now that's the first! I thought she would be crazy for him like all the others but it seemed her brain is in order… that's new" Little Helio smiled mischievously as he followed the lady.
