HIS PAST!

The 11Th century to be precise…

There was a massive ball at the castle. The guest looked glamorous, everything looked exquisite. The chandeliers where perfectly in place and their light glowed beautifully. There were beautiful red roses attached to the stairs, the harmless ones… ‘he chuckled’ and the long draping curtains. Everywhere was just looking glamourous. The place was filled with vampires, werewolves, witches and people. The host yelled and the people turned their attention to him;

“Introducing the Drago’s” everyone stood in anticipation holding a glass of whisky with their eyes wide open. They wanted to see Vlad’s Draco’s grandchildren the famous vampire who was once a wizard. The whole family were waiting upstairs, for the guest host of the event to announce their presence.  Kaden adjusted his brothers bow tie while they were waiting upstairs and said;

“You look really handsome young prince. I can see that you are having a good time ever since we came here, you have been after everything in skirts… lately”

“Perks of being a prince and a Vampire, hey?” Kaden smiled at his reply and said’

“Who is this man standing before me?... I turned my angelic brother into a monster” they both chuckled. Kaden hurriedly adjust his suit as he heard his name;

“See you down their man!” he put on a serious face and walked down the stairs with a proud look on his face.

“The first prince and the heir of the family Kaden Draco” The prestigious guest applauded him as he made his way down stairs. He slightly bowed at the people as he collected his glass of Vampire wine from a waitress. Whom he noticed to be the Maid, he would often ask to warm his bed at night. He brushed his fingers against her skin as he collected the glass of wine from her. He winked at her and stood by the corner looking around when his eyes first caught a sight of an amber colored hair girl. She had bright honey brown eyes and she was looking around inquisitively. She had the most innocent pair of eyes. It looked as if she was searching for someone.

She girl looked alluring, he couldn’t take his eyes off her. She was the most fragile and beautiful thing he had ever laid eyes on.

The host who had paused for a while, so that the guest could have a good look at Kaden Draco continued with his announcement;

“Announcing the second Prince of the family Lucian Draco” said the host.

Lucian entered the hall proudly and flashed his signature smile at the guest. Small chatters could be heard in the ambiance, and there were eyes focused on him as he was applauded at. He made his way down from the cascading stairs and was on his way to stand by his brother. When a red haired girl approached him. She places a soft kiss on his cheeks as she smiled brightly at him. She looked calm and beautiful, she was one of those girls that once you dare to set your eyes on them, it would be difficult to overlook them, because their beauty keeps your gaze fixated on them. When Lucian’s eyes caught hers he couldn’t look away. He was mesmerized by her beauty and grace.

“A Good day to you my lady” He said with a light smile on his face. As his dimples pronounced. He knew very well that she was taken by his handsome face. Just as many other girls.

“And to you too my Prince” she answered him in the fruitiest voice ever and she smiled lightly at him as well.

 “you look rather ravishing if I may say so myself” he complimented her with a bright smile on his face.

“Thank you!” she said. While looking into his eyes.  

“Nice party you’ve planned out here” she complimented, he smiled and replied back to her again.

“yes its but I hope you are having a good time here?” he asked her proudly with a broad smile on his face.

“Yeah I am actually, it’s just quite unfortunate that the king your grandfather is not doing anything for the people out there. Are you aware of the mass killing of poor people outside the castle? It’s just not fair that we take blood from the ordinary people and still cause them to suffer and die of hunger…”

“What?” he asked her confused

“Don’t act innocent you live in the castle I am sure you know what is happening. The Vikings are always attacking the sub villagers and collecting their food, r****g their daughters and killing them and recently a new batch of Vampire hybrids laid waste an entire village…

“What? Stop! ...” he got lost in his mind for a while before he asked her curiously again; “When?”

“Wait! Are serious that you are clueless? Everyone here knows this” she gripped his hands and dragged him along with her, they passed so many guest as they walked away from the crowd, her father Elion saw how she was with Lucian and he smiled. For he saw a future Alliance with the great family of the Draco’s. He was even more excited when he saw her with the famous son everyone talks about Lucian. When Lucian stopped her midway and scurried back to the hall in Vampire speed. He gripped his brother’s hands and dragged him along with him.

They all gathered together in an empty room. She retold everything to Kaden. As they sat around a round table. He was devastated.  He walked up and down the room in thoughts, thinking about everything that was happening right under their noses. He was shocked’;

“How could grandpa throw a party knowing something like this is happening in town?” Seeing that the two brothers were shocked and unaware of everything that has been happening for the past months. Although she was scared for her life she still stuck around, even when Kaden called his unsmiling grandfather who looked rather scary but still handsome and his good looking father to talk to them about what was happening, she stood still confident and ready to ensure everything goes according to her plan. She lost a close friend of hers, a human girl because of the endless attacks that has been happening for the past few months.

“Grandpa! Are you aware of the mass killings in town?” Kaden and Lucian looked at their father and grandfather as they wait in anticipation for a reply.

“All I can say is that we are working on it!” Killian answered sadly. The two young men creased their browse surprised by their father’s reply.

“Sorry we didn’t inform you two and your siblings. It’s a serious fight that has been orchestrated by hybrids. The hybrids are no joke at all, they are half vampire and half werewolf and their bites are fatal to all vampires and werewolves alike. So we can’t just attack without a well sought out plan. Trust me!  That’s why your father and I came up with this plan. This whole party is all part of the plan but also to introduce my grandkids to the people... Cool right?

 This is what they call killing two birds with one stone…  We have also been making war plans on how to attack the Vikings and punish them for all their deeds. Unfortunately, after every attack Knowing fully well that sworn Vampires don’t do so well under the sun, they attack during the day when the sun is full up in the sky…” Lucian cuts in rudely.

“All bullshit! Grandpa! That’s not an excuse!” Lucian yelled, he was so furious.

“At least you should have told us… then while you make your plans we would have been saving people…” Kaden confronted them as well.

“Until how many of the innocent people die, were you planning on telling us. Because if your so called sworn Vampires are weakened by the sun, what about us the Pure blooded vampires?” Lucian expressed himself sadly and Kaden replied in turn saying;

“We are completely immune to the sun and we could have fought them!”

while they were still arguing, they heard an uproar coming from the party hall and they all rushed out of the room, only to see Alexander Ajax with his daughter Kiara by his side and Samaria. They all looked astonished.

“Sammy!” eve called out concerned about her daughter being with enemies.

“Sister! what are you doing with them?” Lucian asked concerned.

“Oh brother! they are harmless and they are now on our side. I have been protected under them since the raid started.”

“Vlad!” came Alexander’s thundering voice. He approached Vlad and extended a hand shake of friendship to him

“This will be the first time I will make an alliance with you in order to get rid of the Vikings causing harm to the innocent people of Hems-Ville.” He proclaimed. The crowd at the party applauded them cheerily.

Lucian came up with an idea that got him praise and recognition among the vampires. He was only able to come up with that idea after consulting Kathy his junior sister. He talked with her about a ring or bracelet he came about in their grandmother’s grimoire called the daylight ornaments which enables night creatures the ability to move around in day time. When she confirmed it possible he begged her to make them in dozens for him. That day when he thought the idea, he didn’t want to bring up the idea against the one his father and grandfather had already planned. It was then on the second day and at that moment when they wanted to carry out the plan that he brought the idea to his family and the people;

“Hear me now!” he said;
