Lilith kept turning in bed lazily as she sighed at intervals. She turned to look at her laptop's screen with disdain and sighed. So far the story she has written has made her cry over and over. Although there were parts that made her happy but her heart felt heavy every time she read the book. She wanted the human girl to end up with the vampire because she thought their love was out this world. Taking her eyes away from the laptop she picked her android phone from the mini table by her bedside which was buzzing to see so many missed calls and messages from her boss Mr. Marlo and his secretary Miss Ruth. She hissed knowing that they have been calling her for a whole week asking her to turn in what she has written so far. Although she told them the book wasn't completely ready they persisted. She angrily picked up her Laptop again and pressed sent. She sent them three chapters and hurriedly moved out of the room and out of the house completely to take a walk. She mumbled to herself as she walked in the cold night in the empty streets; "Friggin manipulators! Foxes in sheep clothing! Damn them I can't wait to retire from that draining job" she covered her body well as she walked straight for the café in front of her. When she arrived she went in and sat down, and a pretty waitress came in and asked her; "What will you have miss?" handing the menu to her, she smiled at Lilith and Lilith returned the smile. "A cup of cappuccino please!" the waitress smiled and went on to carry out her order. "Lilith sat down and stared at the cup of cappuccino before her. She warmed her palms by placing them around the cup of hot cappuccino.  She was gloomy and felt very lonely. That was why she decided to come to the café. As she was staring into empty space the waitress came and said; "You look downcast miss, is everything alright?" Lilith sighed and answered "I am good but a glass of bear would do me more good than this!" the waitress laughed for a bit and answered; "You should have said so sooner! I would have led you to the Bar" Lilith looked a bit confused. She asked her; 'A bar! But this is a café right!" Lilith was getting more and more confused. "Yes! its but it has a hidden bar as well, it's called Tricks" the waitress took her to the bar and showed her to a seat. Before living the bar to go back to her post at the café she introduced herself to Lilith; "Hey! Call me Alisha" she smiled lightly at Lilith and took off. Lilith gulped down the alcohol she was given like it was water. She was willing to drink more if she had to just so that she could forget the growing emptiness and pain in her heart. She had no idea where it was coming from. She hated herself for writing a novel that caused her pain and sleepless night. She continued drinking in annoyance, she felt completely exhausted with everything. Soon the bar grew silent most of the customers had left. And now she was the only one left there. In the silence of the bar tears started flowing down from her eyes and before she could even realize she busted out crying loudly in tears; "I don't understand! I know things don't always go our way but what is this feeling. It feels like someone stole something precious from me." While staring at her empty glass and lost in her thoughts she heard a song coming from another section of the bar; "I'm done hating myself for feeling I'm done crying myself away I've gotta leave and start the healing But when you move like that, I just want to stay" Lilith wiped her tears and whispered;" Sam smith! What is he doing here? Oh my gosh! this small hidden café and Bar most be a big shot." She took small steps from where she was seated and walked towards the direction where the song was coming from. On her way she argued whether it was Sam smith or not as the voice of the person singing sounded very familiar but she had no idea where it was that she heard the song from. When she arrived at the door to the hall where the song was coming from she stood still for a long while, contemplating whether to open the door or not. When she finally opened the door she saw the most handsome man ever standing and singing in front of the Karaoke. The Karaoke was switched off and he was just singing with a wireless microphone, yet his song was perfect, he perfected the song and he looked smug. Looking at the man made her forget about her own pain. She suddenly felt warm inside, she was no longer lonely. The man turned to look at her and they locked gaze for quite some time before she suddenly felt like she was intruding. She bowed her head a bit and turned to leave when Kathy stopped her; "Hey! Where do you think you are going to?" she asked authoritatively "Ho-ho-home!" Lilith stuttered as she answered. she smiled and teased her; "No you are not going ho-ho-home!" "You are staying here to listen to my proud brother brag about how he thinks he is the best artiste in the world!" she dragged her in and made her seat down on Lucian's part of the chair. She saw Helio and she smiled at the lad. she wondered why she felt familiar with the kid, but nothing came to her mind. Then she caught sight of an older handsome man and she remembered giving flowers to at the park on one of her walks through the park; "Hello sir!" she said. He smiled at her without saying a word and she said again; "It's nice to meet you again!" she looked away and set her eyes on Lucian singing." "Why is she here? Now that I see her my heart comes alive, I just want to hug her tightly and never let go." Lucian's eyes were never leaving Lilith and in turn Lilith set her eyes on him unmoving. Her warm gaze made his heart flutter. Her light smile made him feel like drowning himself in her love. He felt a sudden upliftment he couldn't explain. As he was lost in her gaze. A voice came from the pit of his being; "Make her ours! She is the one we have been waiting for, she is so gentle, fair and kind and just looking at her makes us all excited!" Lucian shook his head sideways and fell to his knees. "Not again! I won't listen to you all! We don't deserve anything good because we always destroy the good" his head was looking to the ground. This made all his family confused as to what was happening with him. Lilith on the other hand thought it was all part of the performance. Lucian raised his blue eyes to look at her again and the voice came at him again; "What do you mean we don't deserve anything good! Have we not been good to you? If you reject us we will destroy you and occupy your body and make her ours." He scoffed in mockery and said out loud; "I will like to see you try! If you even think of it, I will chain you all and put us all to rest." His demons grew silent after his threat and he turned to glare at Lilith; "What are you doing here? How do you just interrupt a family gathering without any consideration? … leave! You are not welcome here." Kathy opened her eyes in astonishment and said; "Wow bro! calm down did you just get possess right now? If I remember well some minuets back, you had a cheesy smile on your face and now… you are like this" she went to seat by Lilith and wrapped her hands around her to console her from Lucian's harsh words. Lilith stood up abruptly and said; "You are right and I am sorry… it's just that your voice sounded so familiar" "I hear that all the time from my fan-girls its nothing new!" Lilith's eyes were teary, her throat felt stuffy, she just wanted to cry. She felt humiliated but there was nothing she could do after all she went there on her own accord. She turned her back and walked out of the hall. Lucian spread out his black wings turning to look at Kathy he said; "Pay for the damages here I am heading out." He broke the window frames in fury leaving behind pieces of glass on the floor as he flew out into the sky without looking back. When he was high up in the sky and barely looking at the houses from up high, He screamed at the top of his voice in midair in the cold night. He hugged himself as he felt an estrange pain in his heart and soul; "Why can't I hold myself together when it comes to Lilith? He held his chest tightly and sighed painfully. He wished so badly that he could put up his bad-boy mask and act like nothing ever happened. Lilith's pain returned worsened than before. She cried like a child without holding back as she walked home. The few people walking up and down the streets all turned to look at the crying lady. His words had stabbed her right in the heart as if she knew him from somewhere, but she has no idea who that man was and why his words had pricked her so badly. she cussed herself for being unable to handle her emotions. Lilith was immersing in her pain that she didn't even realize that she was being followed. At least until a black cloth was put over her face, she screamed but before her voice could be heard she fainted because of the sleeping substance in the cloth.
