ONE STARY NIGHT!

There were two bottles of wine, two wine glasses and some chocolates spread on the rug beside the two ladies. Lilith went on to fill her mouth up with some chocolates, she wasn’t bothered about the wine at all.  

“You mean your brother?” Lilith pinched her chin to think hard about how she met Lucian. After a while thinking without saying anything Kathy asked her again’

“How did you meet him?” Kathy had her goggle eyes on Lilith.

“how did I meet him?” Lilith asked yet again. She sounded unsure about how she actually met Lucian.

“Yeah who else would I be talking about if not him?” Lilith chuckled and wagged her head.

“Oh I see, sorry about that. I think I met him at a party, he was singing so beautifully, so even though Little Helio warned me not to go up close. I went up close to have a closer look at the man singing beautifully. So that was the first time I met.” She laughed lightly and decided to change the topic.

 “So tell me Kathy how old are you?” Kathy nudged her lightly and said; “Curious aren’t you?” she looked at Lilith for a while observing her face and her mannerisms for some time before she replied her;

“I am 1019 years old in witch years that’s….” Lilith poured out the drink in her mouth out of shock and instantly asked her;

“Are you for real?”

“Yeah! But I am not a vampire” Lilith looked surprised as she asked her; “So tell me! I learnt witches don’t live that long so how come you are that old?”

“I am no ordinary witch after-all. I look this way because of the sleeping spell, I sleep for at least a hundred years and stay awake for a hundred years before going back to sleep again. Anyways don’t let me bore you with my life stories” she smiled at Lilith and said;

“Drinks then!”

“Yeah lots and lots!” Kathy answered.

Lucian, his father and grandfather were all seated in the study. None of them said a word the place was in utter silence. Lucian kept looking at each of them turn by turn while using his fingers to drum on the table anxiously. He was getting impatient by the minute, waiting for his father and grandfather to talk. When none of them were talking to him. He stood up and said;

“I don’t understand what is going on here! I was in the middle of something important when you all disrupted me. What is the deal? I am listening.” He looked at them anxiously. Vlad stood up said to him;

“Be patient you will soon find out!” the place was quiet once again but Lucian was already on his way out he didn’t want to waste time there again when he heard a voice;

“What’s the haste big bro? didn’t you say she was just another girl, so why do you want to go to her anxiously!”

“The growing fox in the family! Jaden! You are lucky that I couldn’t find you at the time I got freed from Kathy’s boundary spell, at that time I was so furious with all of you for locking me up. if I had found you then you would have lived to regret ever crossing me your whole life. I came to know later on that you were the mastermind behind it all… Not to worry that’s all in the past, so, I let it slide” he continued striding towards the door when he was stopped by Jaden’s voice again;

“So then I can assume that you are the only one who doesn’t know about the prophesy then!

“What prophesy?” Lucian asked ignorantly.

“The prophesy that states that you and your chosen bride will beget a son that will rain chaos on the whole of Hems-Ville” Vlad cuts in the conversation and said;

“The chosen bride of the demon Lucian is said to begot a son who shall rain hell on this land once he comes into existence. He shall be called the black dragon, or some may call him Drake Draco reincarnated the beast of all beast. The king of the damned …” Killian filled the silence with his voice by saying

“That’s the prophesy revealed to the witches…” the sudden silence was followed by Lucian’s cackle of mockery;

“And?” Lucian asked unfazed

“And?” Killian asked him with a puzzled looking face.

“Are you serious Lucian?” Vlad asked him with a bit of excitement in his voice.

“Aren’t you worried even the slightest?” Killian interrogated him further.

What do you want me to say?... besides who is this bride you all are talking about?” they all looked at him puzzled and answered at the same time;

“The one you are not in control of your emotions when you are around her!” he looked at them quizzically and asked

“And who might that be?” he looked at them confused and Vlad answered him saying;

“You are a hopeless case! You know but you don’t want to accept that you know, I just don’t understand you sometimes grandson!” Vlad looked him with so much emotions written on his face.

“So even if I know, what do you want me to do? Tell my heart who to love and who not to love? Tell me what do you all want from me” he looked at each of them skeptically.

“Come on man don’t be too serious in-fact we just want you to know that’s all! And also to know your opinion on everything” Jaden cackled and the rest of them cackled as well, apart from Lucian.

“We are happy for destiny to take its course!” Killian said to Lucian encouragingly.

“Most especially me, I am gonna have another sweet great-grandchild” Vlad walked up to where he was standing and patted his back. Lucian smiled and walked out of the study leaving behind the rest there. Vlad smiled Maliciously before turning his back to look at the rest of his family members innocently.

“When Lucian arrived in his room, he couldn’t find Lilith there, so he figured, she couldn’t have gone far. He tried to sniff her sent out but it was dispersed, he wagged his head and just knew where she was right at that moment. He went back to his room and took off his shirt and stood right in front of the custom windows, staring at the stars.

Lilith woke up and found herself lying next to Kathy on the floor couch. She stood up and walked to the custom windows in Kathy’s room. She places her hands on the glassy window and closed her eyes. Her thoughts drifted her off to when her adductive mother started treating her terribly after she gave birth to twins. ‘Sarah! Her name was Sarah. She adopted me when I was three years old.

She told them at the Orphanage that when she first set her eyes on me amongst other children, she felt that ‘it was meant to be, that I was meant to be her child.’ But when she gave birth to Sapphire and Jaffer I was thirteen years old and it was at that time she said to me; ‘you are the biggest mistake I have ever made in my life’ and she sent me away. I had nowhere to go to so I went back to the orphanage and the sisters accepted me with open arms. I stayed there with them until I was independent. But this family they seem unique, I can’t find a find a motive behind their love for each other.’ Lilith opened her eyes with her hands still placed on the window and caught a glimpse of one shiny star in the sky and she said;

“I feel like I am drowning!” her body suddenly became intangible and her hands passed through the glass wall, followed by her whole body and she started falling off from the side of the window in Kathy’s room. Realizing that she was falling she screamed at the top of her voice. Kathy hurried to the window on hearing her voice and saw her falling. She stood confused in place and asked herself mentally ‘The windows are locked so what happened?’ she was confused. She waved her hands swiftly and her wand appeared in her hand and just when she was about to safe Lilith she saw Lucian flying down, and after he caught Lilith in his arms he flew up into sky with her.

“Are you trying to kill yourself?” she was speechless

“What made you do that” he prodded further in an annoyed tone

“I didn’t okay! I just suddenly fell, the windows were locked, you can ask your sister” Lucian was puzzled, he could feel her heart beating against his chest and he could feel her breathing cracking against his nape. He knew she wasn’t lying but he was just very surprised, what could have happened? he questioned himself. He flew back into his room with her in his arms and his wings disappeared, she flinched from that sight as she was still feeling shaky from falling off the window. He laid her on the bed and was about to walk out of the room when he felt a light hold on his shirt, he turned to look at a helpless shy girl looking sideways and confused;

“Please don’t leave me alone here… I am still scared! Can you lie beside me!” he was speechless but he followed her like a robot and laid next to her. He couldn’t close his eyes neither could he stop watching her beautiful face as she tried to sleep.
