BITE MARKS!

Lucian smiled at how fast she got dressed to run away from him. That was what he was hoping for and that was why he didn’t even attempt on stopping her. He has always seen himself as a monster and it was unfortunate that something about that girl keeps his demons restless. The funny thing is his demons even listen to her. Before now Lucian has never listened to a ‘NO’ from anybody. He always does what he wants, when he wants it, so it was quite new to him.

“Thank goodness she came out alive!” Kathy exhaled as she turned away from her window to meet with Sammy’s glaring eyes.

“You have kept me here for quite some time! When do you intend on letting me go?” Kathy sat on the edge of her bed and crossed her legs.

“Well until I see to the end of my plane!” she smiled at Sammy

“You must be insane! You know brother doesn’t do love!” she cackled

“Yeah you are right but there is something about her that even I can’t put my hand on it. I keep having these vision in fragments about her and brother… I don’t know… I can’t stress!” Sammy rolled her eyes and Kathy shot her a knowing look saying;

 “You know me and my skin… are like best buddies… I want it forever fresh” she winked at Sammy.

“Anyways any news about your Alpha, I mean your wife!” Sammy exhaled and answered;

“No news! Anyways where did you send my son to?” Kathy asked looking worried.

“Don’t worry sis he is in your wife’s Maternal home…” Sammy answered unfazed.

“Oh gush I am all confuse how do you guys refer to each other again? …” she pinched her chin and did an inaudible mumble. Sammy stood up from the rocking chair where she was seated and said;

“Brother must have tried contacting me severally but couldn’t get through to me!” Kathy answered her instantly with a fruity voice;

“Oh yeah he did, but you know my boundary spell is like no other!” she cackled. Standing up from her chair she got into Sammy’s walk in drawer and said;

“Why are you so tomboyish?” she picked up a big shirt and showed her sister.

“What? Do you expect me to dress like you honey! You must be jonzing” Sammy was getting irritated by Kathy’s unreasonable questions and so she dragged her from her cupboard and shoved her outside, since she couldn’t leave her room.

Picking up her phone she dialed her son’s number;

“Helio!”

“Mum! How are you! And how is uncle Lucian?... I miss him so much!”

“I am fine and your uncle is doing alright! But how are you doing my son? Hope you are good?

“Yes! Mum… and your mama?”

“Seen her only twice since I arrived… Mum I want to return home to you!” she smiled and said;

“Sure dear! Alright take care of yourself… I will be hanging up now!”

“Yeah! Sure you too mum!” as she dropped her phone she heard an audible loud voice coming from down stairs saying;

“I am back! Anyone home?” Sammy was suddenly elated, she screamed at the top of her voice;

“Father………………!” before she stopped screaming he was standing right in front of her.

“She seems okay!” Argo exclaimed. Jaden smiled at him and replied;

“Alright! I guess my work here is done… I better take it to my heels before I get mixed up with my sibling’s endless squabbles.” He picked up a book titled Dracula’s mystic from the table and headed for the door when Argo asked him curiously;

“Where will you be heading to?” he smiled and answered;

“Here! There! Where ever the fun leads me to… you know I am all about the fun.” They smiled at each other and he turned to leave when he met with his little sister’s glare

“Oh! Sis! What’s up… the girl is up…”

“I can see that… but where do you think you are going to?”

“Out?”

“No! you are not…why do I have to clean up all the mess because I am a witch!” Jaden stood confused and asked her;

“Is my plan working?”

“I think so… he didn’t kill the girl, so I guess it’s kind of working!”

“Alright! What about sister?”

“She is still locked up in the boundary spell”

“So what do you need my help for exactly? Besides you have Argo, your abled boyfriend.

“I just have one thing to say when Lucian somehow gets out of that spell, we are doom!” they looked at each other slightly tensed by Argo’s words.

“No jokes man! you are right!” Jaden answered. He walked pass his sister to the door and said;

“I have some other schedules to attend to! So if you would please excuse me” he walked out the room with a slight smile on his face.

Turning her head to look at the girl who was obviously lost as to what was happening around her, she screamed at her;

“What are you looking at dimwit!” the girl creased her browse and asked;

“Was I abducted?” Kathy shot her a pretentious smile and answered her;

“No! you are here for a threesome!... don’t you remember” the girl quickly got up from the bed she was lying on and immediately Kathy chanted some spell at her and she walked out of the room without a fuss and looking confused.

“Did you have to do that?” Argo asked her with his hands folded, and his eyes observing her.

“What else did you expect me to do? Take her back home on a carriage like a princess?” she slumped on the bed and said;

“One down I guess”

Lilith was sitting on her bed in a yogi posture with her laptop in front of her and her diary beside her. She was tapping the keys on her laptop nonstop as ideas kept flowing to her mind. Her long black hair kept getting in the way of her write up, so she stopped and packed it backwards in a bun saying to herself;

“This is getting interesting; I am loving this book by the seconds” she said and stood up and walked casually to get herself ice-cream from the cooler. She was so into her write up that she was mumbling to herself when she remembered the dream she had about a strange man being all over her body. That man in her dream was certainly Lucian, she was certain he was the one in her dreams. She only wished, she Knew what the man was doing in her dreams.

Instantly, she wondered whether Lucian and Helio were doing alright, since she hasn’t heard from them for a while. She continued walking while take full spoons of her favorite Oreo ice-cream. When she was close enough to her bed, her phone rang, she dropped the of ice-cream and rushed to get her android phone on the bed;

“Hey! Hey” he said in a light lively tone.

“Hello Karan!” she answered in a fruity voice.

“Hey girl, so what’s up?” he asked curiously

“I am just good! You?”

“I am alright.”

“That’s nice to know. So how’s Hems-Ville so far?” he asked anxiously to hear what she has to say.

“Honestly, It’s good! The culture, the history, everything is just amazing. And my book is coming up well.”

“Alright girl that’s good to know” he answered her happily.

“Yeah!” she answered with a casual voice and picked up her ice-cream to seat on the bed with it.  

“Alright I will hang up now, I was just checking up on you and know that I know you are doing just fine will hang up” she smiled warmly from hearing his concerned voice

“Alright Karan! Take care then.” He had a faint smile before he dropped his phone on the bed and took lazy strides to open his window to take a view of the stars from his condominium room. A lady who was standing in the shadows whose face was not quite obvious asked;

“And?” her voice was blank; one couldn’t tell what she was thinking from the tone of her voice. Karan answered her blankly;

“She is adapting quite well!”

“Alright I guess my job is quite done here” she vanished from his room like a puff of smoke. Karan exhaled and jumped on the edge of his window and said:

“What a drag!”

As Lilith took full spoons of ice-cream while going through her work on the laptop she froze as a thought crossed her mind;

“Wait!” she said as she blinked her eyes in disbelieve.

“Why don’t I have memories of my therapies with my patient in the Draco’s Mansion. All I remember is that I go there for therapeutic sessions but I can’t remember what happens when I am with the estranged patient… Is something wrong with me?... it’s like once I enter the mansion and talk to his sister, she leads me to certain door and once I open the door I can’t remember what happens next…” she wobbled her legs angrily on the bed, disappointed at her memory when she suddenly she felt slightly soar around her hips. She creased her browse and started checking where the soar pain was coming from relentlessly. In the process of her search she found two bite marks around in her inner thigh. She squinted her eyes to get a clearer view. She was confused as to what caused the bite marks and began to wonder whether she was bitten by a snake. She shoved the thought away when she found no sense in it and continued scrutinizing the bite marks with her eyes.

“What on earth is this mark?”
