Silver eyes

Everything was dark. I could hear a slight beeping but everything around me seemed muffled. “Will she be alright Doc?” “Well here wounds are healing, but altogether it seems that she is healthy for a girl of her age. A rouge at 14 that seems like the rough end of the stick.” 14? No, I’m not 14. Then who are they talking about? There doesn’t seem to be anyone else in the room besides the two voices. Do I really look 14 to others? Forcing my eyes open I reflectively close them slightly blinded by the bright light in the room. Staring up at the ceiling I could see the white walls along with a beeping machine seeming to go in a rhythm. Focusing my eyes around the room my eyes come to rest on the two voices. One a man seeming to be in his 20s with dark almost black shoulder length hair. He was wearing a forest green shirt that seemed tight against hes body. Beside him stood the second man. He wore a long white coat with a slightly peach colour sweater underneath, his hair a light blond was pulled neatly into a low pony coming to end at his back. “I wonder what would make someone at 14 become a rouge? Did she have any markings? Anything that could tell us who she is?” “Unfortunately not alpha, besides the wounds she got from those rouges she’s in good health.” Alpha. So he’s the alpha and I’m assuming that the man next to him in the white coat is the one he called doc. Doc, as in a doctor? Still they think I’m 14 I should try and say something, give them a sign at least that I’m awake. “..ah..” mm not using my voice for a few years I forgot how much it would hurt to use it again. Finally forcing my rough voice I manage to make a sentence form. “18…..I’m...18” “Oh… she’s awake.” The doctor claimed stepping closer to me so check my pulse. “ Good morning my dear, how are you feeling? You’ve been asleep for a few days. Apparently that knife you had in your thigh was made of silver, your lucky it didn’t hit anywhere vital.” “I’m..okay just tired.” “Hold on a second” the alpha said stepping closer to me. His power was noticeable but his eyes, silver, they shown in the light of the room giving them a ring of almost gold. “Did you say you were 18? How, you look only 14.” I kept silent mildly entranced mildly scared. What would he do if he found out I was a runt? I remember stories of alphas that killed runts of there packs, let alone, a rouge runt. The two men kept staring at me waiting for an answer, when they realized that they weren’t getting one the alpha spoke again. “If that’s true, it means your a runt” my breathing hitched in my throat noticeably I became nervous. “Don’t worry this pack is kind to any wolf regardless of size, the only difference is if your a rouge who’s killed.” He stared at me as I took in the information he gave me. The don’t kill runts, maybe this is a pack I could be safe in. No knowing my luck the rouges would come back and wanting no conflict, would probably just give me to them. After a few moments of him staring at me I realized he probably wanted an answer wondering if I’ve killed before but before I could form an answer he spoke again. “ Your either quiet because your scared of you coming death or relieved because you’ve never taken a life. Which is it?” Calming my nerves I tried to speak, realising that it was harder then before my voice squeaked out a awkward answer “re-re-lieved” “Good. You’ll stay here in the pack hospital until your healed, the doc will be the only one to see to you. Your still a rouge remember. When your are healed and able to actually form sentences like a civilized wolf you can make your decision.” Decision? What decision? And why let me heal if I’m a rouge, wouldn’t it be better to get rid of me before I healed? Sensing my confusion the alpha spoke again “If you chose you may join my pack. You would have to tell my why your were a rouge but I would except you. If not your free to go back to be a rouge, only if you step foot onto my territory again you’d be treated as a hostile. You have till your healed to decide.” After speaking the alpha turned and left, leaving me and the pack doctor alone. He smiled at me and told me his name was Andrew and that I will be in safe hands dispute there reputation the Goldenmoon pack was nice. Although I’ve never heard of the pack before I did feel safe and fell asleep under the watch full eye of the doctor. Maybe I’ll actually have a good rest tonight, hopefully I won’t have nightmare again.
