Chapter 6
Beep, beep, beep, Olive’s alarm screamed. She looked over at the numbers which read 6:54 FRI.
“Ugh, so soon?” Olive had struggled through school Wednesday, skipped youth group that night to rest, and still felt exhausted on Thursday. Since the night Ellis discussed Jesus and His command for Christians to show other people His love, Olive had wrestled in her mind with what that meant. As a result, she hadn’t been sleeping well. Friday morning was a happy time because it signaled the last day of the school week, but Olive wasn’t feeling it. She wanted to roll over and sleep more.
Through sheer determination and the power of a quick prayer, Olive found the strength to get out of bed. She was looking forward to rehearsal for the Christmas play that night. At last, they would hand
