On Thursday morning Jacey had made a rude comment about Olive’s green overall shorts, but Olive had remembered the message that Pastor Chaz had shared the past night. She bit her lip to keep from saying something she would regret later and had attempted to be nice to Jacey.
On Friday, Olive finished her Balkan themed pastel of a Croatian flag flying over a small cafe that looked out on the Dalmatian Coast. It wouldn't win any art contests, but at least you could tell what it was. Ms. Finney seemed to like it. At lunch Franny stood up on the table to do her impersonation of a chicken on a dare from Bobby until a teacher yelled for her to get down. It was hilarious.
