Mortal

I was any other normal woman working her way through life when I landed a job being the secretary for a huge company.  I had been there for months and my boss was a jackass to everyone but totally soft towards me for some reason. I was sitting in my office returning some emails when I hear his shout my name which he never does. I run in panting when I see a woman in there that I didn't notice.

"Call security " he says

I nod and call them and they come drag her out.

"I'm so sorry. I didn't see her wall past my office. I was returning emails for you and heard you shout" I say in a rush

He chuckles at me and I frown.

"Karina it's fine. She come out of no where but I'll have her dealt with. You can head on home if you wish." He tells me

"Are you sure? I can stay" I say

"Of course not your free from your chambers" he say smirking

I roll my eyes and smile. I head to my office to pack up when I remember my car is in the shop and I groan.

"What's with the groaning?" I hear him call I walk around the corner and sigh.

"Could I please narrow Felix to run my home? My car is in the shop and it's raining and a cab will take forver" I say

"I drove today so no Felix. But I'll take you come on" he say

"But" I start

"I'm sure now come on." He says

I nod and we head down to his car. He unlocks the doors and my jaw drops.

"Holy mother of Zeus. It's a Lamborghini." I say eyeing his car in awe

"You know cars?" He asks

"Brothers" I say

He spins and tosses me the keys and my jaw drops.

"Really?" I say squealing

"Come on Kar show me what you got" he says opening the diver door

"You so are gonna regret this" I say

He chuckles and closes my door and gets in on his side. I crank up the car and it purrs and I sigh with a smile. I pull out of the parking lot and hit the gas. I shift my gears like butter and fly down the road. About twenty minutes later I pull up to my apartment and turn off the car.

"Would you like some coffee since you let me drive your baby?" I ask still smiling

"Sure" he says

He follows me up and as soon as he passes through the door Cerberus starts growling.

"Cerberus sit" I command

"You named him after Hades' pet?" He asks in shock

"What can I say I love the gods" I say with a grin

"What is he?" He asks

"Pit. Like full blooded I'll bite your arm off for f*****g with momma pit" i say

His eyes widen and i smile. Next thing I new my front door flies off the hinges and Shawn was covering my body with his. Felix walks in dragging a guy and Shawn growls.

"Karina do you trust me?" He asks me looking at me

I nod and he smiles softly.

"Close your eyes sweetheart" Felix tells me

I nod and close them and next thing I knew I was in a huge room and a huge man was standing by me. He was beautiful and my jaw dropped. I slowly was freaking out and he noticed.

"My king." He shouts

Soon enough the door open and Shawn walks in bare chested and huge.

"Sweetheart it's ok but there are some things you dont know. I will happily explain but you must remain calm." He tells me

"Cerberus " i whisper

He chuckles and whistles and he comes pounding in and jumps on the bed and lays his huge head in my lap.

"Hi buddy. Mommy missed you" I tell him

He barks and I smile and look up to see several people watching me.

"Ok let me have it so I can have my freak out and a shower " i say

"First my name isn't Shawn its Hades. I'm the God of the underworld. Second Felix is a demon and my right hand man. Apart from your baby I do have a big beast named Cerberus so I guess we will have two here for the time being. Obviously my Ceb isn't gonna come near you right now but I can transfer so I'm e powers to this guy so if any demon disobeys me he can still protect you like he is meant to." He tells me

I stare at him dumbfounded and he looks at me.

"Still with me sweetheart?" He asks

"Yeah. So Hades, demon, real Cerberus and now my pup has powers. Did I miss anything?" I ask

"Nope you got it. Frank out time?" Felix asks

"Do you have wings?" I ask

They all look shocked and he sighed and flicked them out and I squealed.

"Can i?" I ask

He nods and I reach out and touch his soft black wings.

"Its beautiful " I tell him

He plucks a feather and hands it to me and I grin. My stomach rumbles and I look up sheepishly. Hades chuckles and I smile softly.

"Alright let's feed you then we can go for a drive and I'll answer your questions" he tells me

"Ooh can I drive?" I ask

"Sure" he says offering me his hand

I smile and slide out of bed and Ceb follows me. When we get to the kitchen a few demons stopped working and looked at me.

"This is Karina. She will be staying with us for a bit. Make her feel welcome" hades commands

"Welcome. What would you like? I can make anything" a woman says

"Cheeseburgers.  I'm craving something greasy" I say with a smile

"Fries?" She asks

"Please and thank you" I say

"No worries it's my job. No need for the thank you" she says with worry

"My daddy taught me manners and I will use them get use to it" I say to her

She nods with a smile and wanders off.

"So I'm staying here?" I ask

"For a bit yes. Someone who hates me found me and will use you against me. So I would like for you to stay. Everything in your home will be taken care of for now. You can still call your family but don't tell them where you are. Cerberus can stay as well. You will have two guards just encase and just shoot my name if something goes wrong. I'm sure Aphrodite would love to take you shopping" he tells me

"Wait as in Zeus' wife?" I ask excitedly

"Yes sweetheart. Would you like to meet them?" He asks

"Yeah but not today. A lot on my mind today. Can I cook?" I ask

"Of course just let the staff know what you wanna cook and they will make sure you have it" he says

I hear a hiss and Hades grabs a woman by her throat.

"She doesn't belong here" she hisses

Hades roared and I jumped back slamming into the wall when he through her through the air and she smacked a concrete pillar. I groaned from where I landed on the floor and Cerberus whined licking my arm where I apparently cut it on a vase I knocked over when I fell. Hades spun around in shock hearing Cerberus whine and rushed to me.

"I'm fine. I jumped out of the way and did I mention I'm clumsy as hell" I say with a small laugh

"Fetch Nix" Hades commands Felix

He vanished and popped right back up with a woman.

"Oh dear. Let me see that arm darlin" she says squatting next to me

I show her and she lays her hand over my cut and chants something and it heals right up. I smile at her in thanks and she Pat's my cheek and vanishes. Hades helps me up and I sigh. Ceb was still whining and I sighed.

"Hey buddy. I'm ok." I say petting him

He spins around and growls at the door and the door burst open and Zeus walks in and I gasped in awe. I was wiggling where I stood and Hades chuckled at me.

"Dont laugh at me" i snap and start pouting

I hear chuckles and look up to see Zeus and Aphrodite laughing.

"She's apparently a big fan." Hades tells Zeus

"Well then it's nice to meet you beautiful. Tell me how much do you like the water?" He says eyeing me

"I would live in it if I could." I say with a smile

"Now hades this beautiful lady doesn't belong down here" Zeus says

"Indeed brother but i was hoping you could fix her up a little something while she has to deal with me" he says watching me

"Any specific idea?" Zeus asks

Hades shakes his head and zeus nods and claps his hands. He then offers me his arm and i take it. He leads me outside and around Hades castle and i gasp. There was a huge swimming pool with a wave pool and I could just float. I squeal and hug him and he chuckles.

"Thank you" I say

"And Hades can see you from his office" Zeus says

"Now it's my turn. Your indeed beautiful but baby them clothes have to go" Aphrodite says

I look at Hades and he nods and i smile and walk off with her with ceb on my heels. Of course Felix followed us and we shopped till out feet hurt. On the way back I was so tired so Felix offered to carry me which I didn't then down.

"What happened?" I hear Hades say

"My king shes fine. She is exhausted from today. I offered her a quick way back and she fell asleep. I shall place her in her chambers." Felix says

"My chambers " Hades commands

Felix carried me to the room and laid me down and my eyes fluttered open.

"Thank you Felix" I mumble

"Anytime sweetheart. Now rest" he tells me

I yawn and close my eyes and i hear someone else walk in and i look up to see a man i dont know and i jump back.

"Quiet now my dear" he says

"Hades" I scream at the top of my lungs

The man lunged and I screamed again when a huge beast jumped in through the window and yanked the man up and biting him in half. I was shaking and the beast was still growling so I crawled to the end of the bed closer to him.

"Cerberus" I whisper

He growls at me and I reach my hand out and he snarls.

"Its ok boy. I'm ok" I say

He sniffs me and then bumps my hand with his nose and then allows me to pet him.

"Holy s**t" Felix shouts

I jump so bad I fall off the bed hitting myelbow.

"Ow" I whine

"s**t. Are you ok?" Hades asks picking me up

"I was fine till Felix gave me a heart attack. Hey where did Cerberus go? I was enjoying his company. He was letting me pet him" I whine

"He was what?" Hades asks shocked

"Call him back please?" I ask pouting

Hades whistles and Cerberus jumps back in and comes to me.

"Hey buddy. Sorry I scared you" I say petting him

He licks my face and I groan.

"Ceb that is gross" I say wiping my face

I look a Hades and he was in total shock. I wave my hand in his face but he doesn't budge. I lean forward and kiss the tip of his nose and he blinks and looks at me and smirks.

"How?" He asks

"I showed him I wasnt afraid and he just let me" I tell him

"That's incredible. And sorry about s a ring you" felix says

I glare and him and Hades laughs.

"Come on you, time to shower." Hades tells me

"Dont leave me alone" I whisper

"Go shower and I'll be here when you get out. I'll put your clothes away and then we can eat and talk" he says

I nod and scramble into the bathroom. I gasped at how large it was and smiled. I filled the huge tub and added some bubbles and slid down into the hot water and sighed. I dont know how long I lay there but I soon felt my hair being pushed off my face. I open my eyes to see Hades and smile.

"Hi" i mumble

"Hi. Come on get out. You need to eat and then sleep" he tells me

I nod and sit up and i hear a growl and i look down to see i revealed my bare chest to him and i gasped using my arms to cover myself.

"S-sorry" I stutter out

He turns and walks out slamming the door and I cringe feeling scared now. I drained the tub and got out and wrapped a towel around me and walked over to the door softly. I opened it to find Hades pacing and he stopped to look at me.

"Clothes" I whisper

He jerks his chin towards the closet and I rush in shutting the door and quickly slipping on my new favorite pajamas. I walk out of the closet and freeze seeing Hades pacing still. He stops and looks at me and walks towards me and I step back. He freezes mid step and looks stunned.

"Hey Kar. I'm not mad I promise. It happened it's over. I just needed to calm down. I haven't been with another female in over a century. You being like that sent my other self into overdrive. It's fine. Come sit. Helena brought up your food." He says

I nod and take a seat and take a big bite if my burger and moan loudly. Hades chuckles at me and raises a brow.

"I'm starving and this is amazing." I say

"Well Helena will definitely enjoy the praise." He says smiling

"So why earth if you have this?" I ask waving my hand around

"I have several businesses up there sweetheart. But it's just fun for me I guess" he says shrugging his shoulders

"Boredom?" I ask

"A bit yeah. So why a secretary?" He asks

"Oh it was just something to hold me over. I wanna open my own bakery. I love to cook" I tell him

"Now that i have to see and taste" he says

"It will make you fat" I say with a smile

"Abs for days baby. I hit the gym every day even though I dont technically need it" he tells me

I finish my food and yawn.

"Tired?" He asks

"A bit. Why do I feel like time moves so much faster here?" I ask

"Cause it does. It's already two days later" he says

My eyes widen and my jaw drops.

"What?" I shout

He chuckles at me and stands.

"Yeah it moves fast thats why your so tired?" He tells me picking me up

He walks over to the bed and lays me down and I yawn again.

"Thank you" I mumble

"Sleep" he tells me

That's the last thing i remember when i drift off.

HADES POV

I watched her drift off and I laid down on the couch and closed my eyes. I dont know how long I slept but when I woke up she was missing. I quickly rushed downstairs to find her making breakfast.

"Good morning " Zeus says walking in

"Hungry?" Karina calls

"Starved" he says

She smiles and turns around and loads the table down with food.

"Aphrodite get your cute butt down here" Karina shouts

Aphrodite walks in yawning and sits down. I take my seat and watch her move around the kitchen. She spins and finally sees me and smiles.

"Good morning handsome hungry?" She asks

I nod and watch her in a little shocked  phase and Zeus chuckles at me. I glare at him and he smirks. She finally takes a seat and sighs.

"Well dont look at it dig in" she says

She bites into her pancake and moans. We all chuckle and she smiles.

"Oh my God. This is amazing. If I wasnt married I'd totally marry you" Aphrodite says

"Good to know" Karina says winking at her

"You my dear are very talented. You will have to come cook my family one night. They would love this" Zeus says

"I would love to. It's my stress reliever. I tend to get mean when I'm in the kitchen though. I dont like being bothered while I'm doing my thing. My dad got a knife thrown at him one day" she says laughing a little

"So mean. He probably just wanted to try it" I say

"No he wanted a beer" she says smirking

We ate and chatted and then Karina stood to clear the table and Helena walks in shooing her away.

"Goona go for a swim. Aphrodite wanna join me?" Karina asks

She looks at Zeus who shrugs and she grins and nods and they take off together.

"She is great brother" Zeus says

"She is but am I doing the right thing? Should I just tell her the truth?" I ask

"You could. And you should when the time is right. But she is still anxious and nervous and this is scary for her. Let her relax and get to know her. I'll make sure to talk with the other family members and when we get together next week I'll make them promise to behave and show her a good time." He tells me

"Why?" I ask

"Why what little brother?" He asks

"Why are you so nice to me?" I ask

"Because dad isn't always right and you are still my baby brother and we love you. Yes we have issues but I still have your back no matter what. Dad doesn't like us visiting down here but you have built it up and with that little beauty running around I have a feeling everything will be just as beautiful as she is" he tells me

We hear squeals and run out to see both beast of dogs in the giant pool with the girls.

"Both of you out. This is doggy time this is mommy time" Karina says snapping her fingers.

My ceb ignored her and looked at her.

"I said out" she roars

Cerberus jumps out and lays down by the edge and huffs. I chuckle and pat him on the head.

"Was the scary lady mean to you?" I ask him

"Hey look what he did to my water? The beast needs a good washing?" She says

Zeus waves his hand and cleans the water and she grins.

"Aphrodite I made need you to share him" she says giggling

"Take him he gets on my nerves" Aphrodite says floating around

I growl and walk towards her and she backs away slowly.

"Nope you still have your clothes on" she says smirking

I leap at her and the next thing she knows shes in the air and I'm in swim trunks.

"What was that?" I ask her

She was giggling and I launch her in the air and she lands with a splash. She comes up giggling and I chuckle. Zeus had joined us and I notice a few of the staff members watching.

"You can use it any time after your work is done" Karina tells them

They smile and nod and run off. Cerberus whines and Karina sighs.

"Fine but your getting a much needed bath first" she says stepping out

"You do know hes just gonna get filthy again when he has to go back" I say

"Zeus would you be a dear and please whip of something to hell me bathe this beast" she asks batting her eyelashes

"Why dont you come help me?" He says

Her eyes widen and she grins and runs over to him.

"Ok take my hand and think about what you want. Just give a wave and your done" he says to her

She nods and closes her eyes and takes his huge hand and waves it and a waterfall appears and lands into a pool of water. She grins and hugs him and runs off again.

"Thank you" I say

"She really does enjoy the water. I even added a extra something to your bathroom for her. Now hush and wat h the beautiful creature" he says

I watch her scrub both beasts and make them stand under the water fall to rinse them once they were clean she kissed both snouts and nodded. They bother jumped in the pool splashing water everywhere but I didn't mind. I looked up and noticed Karina was missing and began to panic.

"Got cha" she squeals landing on my back

I jump startled and Zeus dies laughing. She was giggling in my ear and I sigh. I hold her up by her thighs and wade into the water.

"Hey Kar i left a little something for you upstairs " Aphrodite says

She waves and her and zeus leave.

ONE WEEK TIME SKIP

We were going to my families today and I was nervous. Sure I was cocky but with  Karina by my side I was a nervous wreck. We enter Zeus' front door and Karina grinning seeing Aphrodite. 

"Beautiful beautiful lady where have you been? I have missed you" Karina says hugging her

"Oh you make me blush. I've been rather busy but we will do a ladies night soon." Aphrodite tells her

"Hey what about me?" Zeus says

"Well hello handsome" Karina says kissing his cheek

He chuckles and my other brothers and sisters walk in. Karina freezes and Zeus squeezes her hand in comfort.

"Guys this is Karina." I say

"Brother is she beautiful" Ares says

"Why thank you" Karina says smirking

"Ah I see what Zeus was talking about" Hera says

"Now lovely lady what did you bring us to make us fat?" Zeus says

"Oh I didn't. Hades told me not to" she says pouting

Zeus glares at me and Aphrodite gasps. Karina giggled and winked at me.

"I'm kidding. I brought cake." She says

"Marry that woman" Zeus says

I glare at him and he shrugs. Karina tensed and I growl at Zeus.

"Hey beautiful he is f*****g with us" I whisper in her ear

She nods and offers a tense smile and I groan.

"So my brother tells us you like to bake" Athena says

"I love to bake. I've already baked so much we will be eating it for weeks to come" she says smiling

"Oh send some our way" Hermes says

"I can do that" she says

"Wanna take a look around?" Poseidon asks her

"First time me are you better with water than your brother?" She asks

"Been showing her some things brother?" Poseidon asks 

Karinas POV

Zeus shrugs and smirks. Poseidon offers me his hand and I take it and he leads me outside. We stop at the waters edge and he raises his hand and sea animals surface and splash around. Dolphins swim up and I look at Poseidon and he nods. I reach down and pet them and giggle. A whale was swimming by with her baby and sea lions were splashing around. A shark even swam by and I flinched back a bit. Poseidon chuckles and reaches down to pet the shark. He waves his hands and water like literal animals made of water started dancing around. A horse gallops up and stops in front of me and I reach out running my hand down it. I gasp when she pushes into my hand and then just like that shes gone. I spin around with a huge grin on my face and everyone stood around smiling.

"Did you see that? That was amazing." I say running towards Hades who catches me

He chuckles and kisses my temple and nods.

"Thank you" I tell Poseidon

"Your most welcome. Athena doesn't find me amusing anymore" he says

"I do to." Athena snaps

"That was truly incredible. Makes me wish I could do it." I say with a sad smile

"Who knows maybe one day you will" zeus says

"Yeah in my next life" she says

"Well well well what do we have here?" Apollo says

"Watch it brother?" Hades growls

"I was just wondering when you were gonna tell the princess this isn't a fairy tale. Did he finally tell you about why your really here?" Apollo says

"What?" I ask looking at Hades

"Ah so he didnt. Well princess your here cause of some prophecy. See it's either you mate with our little brother or you die. Probably both actually" apollo says

I step back away from Hades in shock and betrayal and he looks defeated. 

"What is he talking about?" I ask

"Come inside and we will explain it to you honey" Aphrodite says

"You knew?" I whisper

"We all did sweetheart but we were going to tell you when the time was right. You were already so scared and nervous. We wanted to make you feel at home and welcome before we dropped this on you. You met the devil of all people. Hades cares for you darlin. Be mad but be mad at all of us. Be scared, I sure as hell would be but dont run. We all like you and you keep us amazed about how amazed you are with our world." Zeus says

"I" I start and a tear slips down my face

"Hey now beautiful no need for tears. How about we pamper you today and we will talk about this later. You can tell us about your world and we wont talk about ours till tomorrow " Athena suggests

I look at Hades who had pure terror on his face and I look to the women and nod. Hades steps forward and Aphrodite steps in front of me and she growls lowly in her chest. Hades freezes in his steps and he nods.

"Let's go" Aphrodite says taking my hand

They wisk me off and pamper me all day.

"So what's your favorite thing about earth?" Athena asks

"Probably the food. It's amazing. So much stuff to choose from. Italian would have to be my favorite next to Greek" I say

"What is italian exactly?" Aphrodite asks

"Lasagna, spaghetti, alfredo, pasta that kind of thing and wine. They are known for their wine. So good" I say

"What's the next thing?" Athena asks

"Children" I say

"Beautiful little monsters" Aphrodite says

"They are."I say

"You want children?" Hera asks

"I do. Can you not I mean well you know?" I ask

"We can but its hard." Athena says

"Oh. I'm sorry I didnt mean to offend" I say

"Oh no sweetie it's ok. Zeus and I are actually trying" Aphrodite says

We all gasp and hug her.

"If I decide to do this with hades could i?" I ask

"Its a possibility but probably not" athena tells me

"And adopting?" I ask slightly nervous

"I guess if you went to earth to do it you could but as you can see we dont have many children here" Hera says

I feel thing tingling sensation in my arm and I rub it. It starts to burn and I grip it.

"What's wrong?" Athena asks

"My arm." I say

The fire  sets in and i scream. I jump up and rush off to find Hades. I find him pinned to a wall by there men and i roar. I fling my hands out and they go flying across the room. I was panting and then my legs gave out. Someone caught me and i sagged against them.

"Hey beautiful"i hear

"Hi" I say looking at Zeus

I look around to see Hades looking at me. I pull from Zeus and walk over to him and sag into his chest. He was panting harshly and he just held me.

"How?" He asks

"I dont know. This fire started in my arm and it hurt so I come to find you and I seen what was happening and it pissed me off" i say

"Its starting" apollo says

"The bond" hades says

"Bond?" I ask

"I'll explain everything to you tonight. How's your arms now?" He asks

I look down at it and see a black swirl and I gasp.

"Its from me. You knew i was in trouble it connected us" he tells me

"Take her home" Zeus says

"Thank you for tonight" I say to the girls

"Anytime" athena says

"Oh and Zeus good luck" I say looking at him and then to Aphrodite

He nods in thanks and smiles.

"I may have dropped a little something for you" Poseidon tells me

"My whole kingdom is gonna be water if you two dont stop" Hades growls

"Relax its inside and nothing to big just something she will enjoy" Poseidon says

"Thank you" I say

He nods and next thing I know we are back home. I walk into the bedroom and one whole wall is a giant fish aquarium. I squeal so loud I hear all the gods chuckle and giggle.

"Thank you" I shout

Hades laughs behind me and I grin.

"I'm surprised they dont hate me" I say

"There is nothing to hate sweetheart" he tells me

"Can Cerberus come in tonight?" I ask

He whistles and Cerberus stops before jumping in.

"Bath first mister" I say

He huffs but does as told and then comes in laying down. I pet him and Hades sits in front of me. 

"Yes what Apollo said was true. No you dont have to mate with me. You can go home but that wont stop those people from coming after you." He says

"Did you create Cerberus or was he born?" I ask

"I created but there are born ones" he says

"Can he be bred?" I ask

"Yes" he says

"Can we look for him a friend?" I ask

"Does that mean your staying?" He asks

I nod and he grins and nods at me offering me his hand. I take it and he picks me up and we pop up in front of a cave. I hear a harsh growl and I jump in my skin. Hades chuckles and pushes me forward. I shiver slightly and walk forward and then a bunch of pups appear. I grin and lean down when a huge momma stands up and growls.

"Down" hades commands

She sits and watches me and I smile at her. I see a pure white beast and i grin. I reach out and pick her up and turn to Hades. He chuckles and nods. I pass the small beast to him and take a step towards momma. When i reach the front her I reach my hand up and she bows down to me. I pet her nose and smile.

"I'll take good care of her and we will visit" I whisper

She bumps me back away from her and Hades wraps a arm around my waist. We suddenly pop back up in his room and I gasp and run to the bathroom emptying my stomach. I feel hands hold my hair back as I continue to barf.

"Brother did you make her hurl already?" Hermes ask

"I forgot to tell her to close her eyes" he says

"I'm ok" I say flushing the toilet

I stand up and brush my teeth and when I look in the mirror I see a huge tub bigger than before that's connected to a waterfall. I spin around and squeal.

"I officially love you thank you Poseidon " I shout

"No need to scream my dear I can hear just fine" he whispers in my ear

I whirl around and dont see him and Hades smirks.

"Holy s**t never gonna get use to that?" I say

"Do you have any sweets? That sister of mine wants more" he says

"Check the kitchen. All is there" I say smirking

He vanishes and I here a holy s**t ring out and I giggle. Hades just stands there watching me and i smile.
