THE ACADEMY OF MAGIC

Katie's POV

As I got out of the car, a petite red haired girl welcome me with a cheerful voice. " Hi! I'm Emily, one of the welcoming committee."She offer her right hand to me while smiling widely." Nice to meet you. I'm Katie Sternfox." I accept her hand and shook it gently. She look so lovely. Her eyes were hazel nut which matches perfectly to her fair skin tone. Hmm.. She must be a phoenix. "By the way, I'm a phoenix", she added. And I was right.  She was wearing a red plaid, above the knee skirt, paired with a white puffed sleeve blouse with a red blazer on top of it and a red plaid neck tie.  On the left side of her blazer near her chest, there was an emerald brooch with an intricate design. maybe this was the famous school uniform they've all been talking about. "You are a fox, right?", she asked. And I just answer her with a nod. Am I weird? Well you can't blame me. I am just here for some reason.

After our short introduction, Emily led me to the entrance of the academy. At first glance, all you can see are trees all around but the moment I stepped on a foothold, the environment around me changes. The trees transformed into a barricade, which reveals the entrance. Totally magical!

Oh! Wait, I forgot to introduce myself. By the way my name is Katie Stella Sternfox. You might wonder what role I'll be playing in this story. Don't worry, I'm not that important. Well, I'm just a humble fox, a divine beast of Princess Deveika to be exact. I was not suppose to be here but my master was really stubborn. She begged his highness to let me study into the academy. She reasoned out that she need her little beast to be powerful enough to protect her. But the truth is that she just wants me to tell her everything about the academy. Oh, my poor master. She was such a pity. She always dreamed of studying in the academy but his highness wouldn't allow her. But knowing my master's personality, no one can stop her, and this was just the beginning of one of her plans. Well, enough with the chitchats.

As I enter into the academy, a rich smell of magical powers welcomed me. This is it! Emily showed me around the whole academy. It is very huge. On the East Wing lies the 12 storey building which are the session rooms and  a cafeteria on the top floor. On the West Wing lies  2 huge 15 storey buildings which are the separate dormitories for boys and girls. On the South Wing lies the Activity Hall which are composed of the conference hall, sports complex and the Magic Training Hall. On the North Wing, lies the Administrative Offices, including the Student Council Office, Office of the Dean, Teachers' Offices, and the Magical Security Office. What's most amazing is that under the ground lies the Mini Magical City where the students and other staff can buy their needs and wants without the need to go outside the academy.

After touring around the campus, which took a very long time, Emily invited me to a cafe in the mini city.  There, she told me about the academy rules which according to her students are not allowed to enter the dark abyss behind the academy. She also said that students are divided into 3 categories: the lowest rank are the Spiritual Beasts which is represented by amethyst brooch; second is the Acculus, those who have an average power and are represented by emerald brooch; and the highest rank are the Elites, who are mostly from royalties or powerful families, represented by diamond brooch. Emily told me about all other academy rules. It was really a lot. She then give me a booklet and an envelop. "Inside this envelope are your class details and schedule. Your class will start tomorrow so you better not be late on your first day, eh? This brochure will help you in everything. You must keep it well", she said. I nodded in return. " Oh, and by the way, you are going to meet the dean tomorrow before your class. She has something to instruct you", she added. "Okay", I replied. After that, we got out and it was the moment I realized it was already dark outside. So we've talk for almost 5 hours? Emily then brought me to my dormitory. My room was in the 13th floor. Gladly, I was not alone. I have 3 other roommates.
