I know the woman before us is Selene. Pollux is, in my mind falling over himself like a fool. The power coming from her is intense, especially when she has those cold eyes upon us.
“You, Amber Payne, will not be Queen, neither shall your mates be your Kings,” The goddess says to Amber, and I watch my mate’s face fall.
“Why?” Amber asks.
Selene’s face remains cold and unreadable. She certainly looks different from the dream I had of her. She glances at me like she knows what I am thinking about.
