“It’s been a while since I went on any sort of adventure,” Regina mentions as we step outside.
“Well, I mean, you do have six pups,” I mention.
Regina snorts, “And, of course, you believe I gave up everything for them.” I look at her with a slight shrug. “I didn’t give up anything, Amber. Now that you are pregnant, you are going to learn that.”
I touch my belly, and I am starting to understand what she means. We walk across the field to the edge of the woods, where a dozen warriors are waiting with our family.
“So, what are we looking for?” Dylan asks as he eyes Regina.
“We don’t know,” I respond. “I just know Mom told me that we would find something of use to us,” I reply.
