IVY'S POV
I could see my Nona slowly fading
"I'll always be here when you need me"
those were her parting words.
I woke up and found myself in an unknown place, I looked around, it was a hospital.
But it hasn't been that long since I sorta like passed out.
"She's up Sir" I heard Jade say, I looked up and saw my Dad and Jade coming through the door.
"How are feeling now, darling?" My dad asked.
"I'm okay, Where's Mom?" I asked
"She's........uhm......." Jade stammered.
"Honey, don't worry, she's gonna be fine" Dad said.
"Gonna be? What's wrong with Mom? Why is she gonna be okay but not okay right now? Guys, is there anything you're not telling me?" I yelled.
"Okay, Hun, your Mom was at the back of the Hall, when.........the........ attack began, she went to make a call........... and was among the first set of people attacked by those things, I'm so sorry Hun, I couldn't protect your Mom....." My Dad said in pure pain.
My heart sunk on hearing this.
All she did was come for her daughter's Grad, only to meet such an unfortunate fate. Wait........
"So, what did the doctor say?" I inquired.
"He said she was stuck in a coma and might likely not surr..vv...iv...e" Dad said breaking down completely.
"Dad can I please see her?" I asked.
He just nodded.
Soon I changed and got ready to go see My Queen as I often called her.
As I approached her room my legs got limp, I felt weak but I decided to go in and be strong for her.
I opened the door and saw my Mom lying helpless and looking half-dead.
I walked towards her , my legs suddenly feeling quite wobbly.
I sat beside her and touched her, she felt cold.
"Hey Momma, You said we would have a nice party after the grad party at the school, You also said we would go for a girls night out alongside Jade and Her mom, then why didn't keep your promise to me Mom, why?" I couldn't hold the tears again, I yelled out and screamed."But I will make a promise Mom, I promise, I swear, as long as I leave the people responsible for this will lose their life."
And I will keep that promise.
Wait, Her neck.
I saw a bite beside her neck.
They're definitely Supernaturals.
That's a bite mark from a Vamp.
RAYMOND'S POV
Soon, Damien and I headed for LA, the town where Diego Cavalero had ran to.
Los Angeles was a beautiful city, I had been there quite a number of times.
But something about this journey feels odd and different, I'm not someone to observe such stupid feelings but I did.
It felt like I was going to get my Mom or something, I just felt so great and brave for some reason.
Fuck feelings, I've got a criminal to catch.
Soon, we reached The Hart's Manor in the outskirts of Los Angeles, California.
I got into the house just the way I left it, years ago.
I got up to my room and laid on the bed.
"Raymond, Diego just left a trail for us"
Damien said.
"Shoot" I replied.
"Well, I just got a call from Grey, telling us to meet him at Miller International College, right now" He said.
I got up and walked towards the front door and headed for the car.
"More details?" I asked.
"Well, em..... He didn't say, all he said was it was a Vampire problem, and when I checked the News for any information on The Miller School, and it so happens that, the said school was attacked yesterday by some unknown creatures." Damien said. "That's definitely Diego's work"
"But, there has to be a reason" I muttered.
"How?, reason for what?" Damien inquired.
"Damien, Diego Cavalero is a trained killer, born to kill, both humans and Supernaturals, so do you really think he would risk being summoned and punished by The Custodians or caught by Humans just for a meal?" He asked.
He gave this 'Are you serious?' facial expression.
"I know Diego's crazy but all that stuff is too much for just a meal" I said.
He still had that expression on his face.
Typical Damien, always a dickhead.
" Look my point is his going to that school is more than what meets the eye, that school definitely has something to do with The Plaze scepter" I said. " And don't forget, the guy never takes his eyes off the ball."
"All, I heard was “Be on alert“ ". Damien said.
"Just shut up, let's go see Grey" I replied.
