Chapter 3: Finding Her

We arrived at the College, it was completely surrounded with barricade tape.

I met my brother by the entrance of doing his job.

That's right, my brother, stepbrother actually.

He is a detective in Los Angeles, California.

I know, he is a Vamp but he got involved with humans and decided to leave Astoria, his family, his throne and crown for his passion.

One of my Dad's greatest fear, The only greatest fear actually, that I might also decide to do same.

But, that's his problem cause I know what I want and protecting the vamps is definitely amongst it.

So I'm pretty much stuck.

"Hey guys, been a minute" Grey, my brother said. We did the handshake shit

"Yeah" I replied.

Scratch that, we've always been formal brothers kinda like distant friends. I prefer it that way, though.

"So, what happened?" Damien inquired

"It's definitely a Cavalero's handwork, cause I don't know any other rebellious vamp" Grey said.

"So, what about the Press?" I asked.

"Well, The Mayor said some of his things to avoid questions but I mean he's doing his job and letting us do ours" Grey replied.

"That's good" I commented.

"So, what's next?" Damien asked.

"Well, em..... We need a witness or rather, we need to find who he is after"

I replied.

"I think I could do something about that, well, the CCTV footage shows that a picture was taken when a girl came to give her speech" Replied Grey showing us the Young Lady. "The Lady happens to be the daughter of a Business Tycoon, she is Ivy Quin, the only child of Mr. and Mrs. Bruno Quin, they're like royalties here" He added.

"I'm not dumb, Grey, I get it" I replied.

"I just have to tell you so you'll know what it takes to see her" Grey said.

"And oh excuse me, do you know what it takes to see my Prince" Damien said.

I smirked.

"So, how do we find her?" I inquired.

"Oh, that's easy, She's at Sunrise Hospital, Good luck" Grey said.

"Is she hurt?" I asked

"No, Her mom is in a coma, she entered the coma after the incident, Miss Ivy on the other hand was untouched but lost consciousness for some reason" Grey added.

"So, let's go" I said.

"Oh, I have to be........" Grey said.

" Wasn't talking to you" I interrupted abruptly.

I walked out alongside Damien towards the car. We got in and drove to the Hospital amidst the bustling in the city.

We arrived at the Hospital, it was really crowded, we walked past the press into the hospital like visitors.

"Excuse me, I'm looking for Miss Ivy Quin's room?" Damien said to the receptionist who was all uptight and strict.

"I'm sorry, that's confidential" She replied just as I expected.

"No problem" Damien said reluctantly.

"I can't believe you thought she was gonna tell you" I told him.

"Why won't she?" he asked

"Oh let's see, She's not a flirt else that could have been better besides she gave this look like we were coming to woo her or something" I elaborated.

"No one still says woo, Raymond, no one" Damien said.

"oh, f**k off" I retorted, I scanned the room for any clues, I mean how hard can it be to find a little girl.

"Sir!Sir!Sir!" I heard someone say which drew the attention of most people in the waiting room. Turns out, it was a student doctor. I kept on scanning.

"Sir... The... patient in VVIP Room 5, Miss Ivy Quin..... is missing" The feeble guy managed to say.

"What do you mean by missing?" I heard myself say.

"Well, Sir, She went to see her mom in the next room and is suddenly nowhere to be found, by the way, Who are you?" The i***t said.

"Where's her room?" I asked

"I'm sorry sir, you haven't answered my que......" he replied, this asshole was really getting on my nerves today.

"Take me to her room before I take your tongue out of that hole you call a mouth" I threatened to the surprise of everyone including Damien.

"I'm sorry, what my boss is trying to say is he needs to see his Girlfriend before this gets to the Press" Damien explained causing a gasp of shock from the crowd.

"Ok" The superior Doctor said asking the i***t to take us to her room.

"Wow, Miss Ivy is really blessed, Wealthy family and Even a Rich boyfriend" I heard someone say.

"OMG.... Her boyfriend really loves her"

another said which made me wonder why I got all aggressive.

We walked past the crowd into an elevator where that i***t left us

"The room is on 40th floor, the fifth room on that floor" He said as the elevator's doors shut.

"Dude, what was that?"Damien asked.

"What was what?" I replied.

"Nothing"

"Good"

" You really don't find it weird that you threatened a human for a girl you have never seen" Damien said.

"I don't know, Man, my brain's all f****d up" I said
