Rage flared inside her; she spun, yelling, “Watch where you’re going! Look what you just did!” The woman, tears streaming down her face, sobbed, “I’m so sorry.” Kira stopped and looked closely, Seeing the woman’s face, worn, like her mother’s. Guilt hit Kira. As she asked her,....why are you crying, her voice was low? The woman trembled, explaining, “I just got fired My boss made me work endless hours. And last night, I couldn’t finish the task he gave me, because I was too tired. So he fired me today, without paying me for the job that I've already done.” Kira’s anger faltered; Kira asked, “Who is he, and where is he?” The woman whispered, “Adrian. Adrian Blackwood.” She pointed to the sky, to the hundredth floor of the Empire Tower. Kira nodded once, her jaw clenched, as she walked furiously, the glass split open as Kira walked in furiously. The woman ran after her. Kira didn’t stop. Kira stormed the reception, her hair disheveled, her warm suit soaked in the freezing rain, fury in her every movement. “Where is Adrian?” Kira asked the receptionist. The receptionist stood frozen as she pointed to the elevator opposite the hallway. Kira hit the elevator, rising to the top floor, and as the doors opened, she marched straight to the front desk. “Where is Adrian?” Kira asked the lady standing behind the luxury desk, giving her an unwelcome smile. And then, behind her, everywhere went quilt, everyone stood frozen, then a towering figure emerged, his presence like a storm. Kira turned, and at that moment, Kira's eyes met with Adrian’s eyes, no fear, just a burning flame of anger in her eyes, unshakable fury. The air between them came tiny, because no one dared confront him like this, as Kira stood tall, filled with a fierce deva curing anger.
