Sunlight edged its way across the summer house floor, illuminating the room. Harlow stretched her arms and legs then snuggled back into the bean bag and covered her face with the blanket. Wanting to be alone, she had spent the night in the summer house, but her thoughts had kept her awake. The conversation with Caleb had played in her head, over and over, like a scratched vinyl, while images of her sailing through Caleb's world and breaking his heart, and Caleb reaching to her as she sent him away, flashed before her eyes like a movie trailer. She had spent the first half of the night pacing the summer house floor, trying to convince herself that she wasn’t actually in love with a ghost, and the other half of the night trying to accept that she was in fact, in love with a ghost.
